We started our channel in 2019 and have learned so many interesting things about creating a fitness brand online and getting to know the amazing fitness community that has become of it.

September is Falls Prevention Awareness month and in this episode we wanted to shed more light on this important cause. Unexpected falls can cause much more than just physical damage. There are many mental and emotional aspects that come into play not just for the person who experienced a fall but also surrounding friends and family. Falls can occur at any age but the most vulnerable are older adults or those with disabilities.
Luckily there are a few easy things that you can do to minimize the risk of a fall to remain safe in your home or living space.

It can be demanding and even stressful at times but also very rewarding in making the difference in someone's life. Tips On Assisting An Aging Person When Moving

Moving can be stressful. There are many factors that can make a move difficult like arranging for packing time, boxing, plans for furniture, transportation, getting people to help you and so many more. But this can also be a lofty task for an aging person as well. In most cases, older adults will not be able to move by themselves which means they will need help.
This can also be stressful as not all moves are always wanted, but needed. As part of our "Caretaker series", before deciding on the technicalities of moving, there are important factors to consider which will help make a move much easier for and aging person even if it is under un-wanted circumstances.
In This Episode You Will Learn:
1). How moving can be difficult especially as you age or someone you care for ages and some of the challenges involved in getting started.
2). Be sure to keep lines of communication open during the process so that everyone feels respected and not rushed into making un-wanted decisions about items in their home.
