The Civilian Conservation Corps is a Depression Era federal jobs program that left an extraordinary legacy in Centre County.

Philipsburg, PA philanthropist Charles Rowland built a theatre for his community in 1917. One hundred years later, Dead Centre revisits his legacy.

In the 19th century, Leonard Rhone started Centre County's Grange Fair as a way to promote education and fellowship among farm families. Today, visitors still gather at his Georgian mansion in Centre Hall, Pa.

An historic home in Milesburg, PA could not be salvaged, so its owner is turning it into a work of art called "The Crooked House."

The Iron Barons of 19th century Centre County successfully won hosting rights for a Farmers High School that became Penn State.
