Including fresh pop from Beck Pocket, the post rock of Vector 23, limpid techno courtesy of Korben Nice, dream pop with Luna Estelle, electric hardcore from Slap Rash, the ambient soundscapes of Shared Services, and so much more. From out of the vaults come a delightful tune from Daniel Figgis, Mercury Rev with a David Bowie cover version, and the sublime jazz of CODONA. Not forgetting this week’s soundtrack music selections: Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross’s score for 2024’s ‘Queer’, and a song by Mary Hopkin used in the 2014 mystery ‘The Falling’. Dig in!

B also joins in with some track selections for trusty regular features It takes Two and Covered in Glory, and Rosie & John squeeze in a slimmed-down We Love Four Tunes celebrating Joni Mitchell’s songwriting genius. There’s loads more new music and a few classics, too, with some token male artists popping up amid the flurry of femme fire, because we’re all for giving them a chance. Toot toot!

This week we're super excited as we have a guest! One of our fave songwriters of the past few years Dana Gavanski pops in at the start of of her UK tour supporting Tunng. We were lucky enough to have her perform a few tracks in session; which was a pure, pure delight. Andrew also asked Dana to choose some tracks while chatting about silversmithing, eagles arms and more. Go buy all of her records and of course, you should give this a listen! Shout-out to Liam Mustapha too for in studio sound to help Dana sound golden.
