Graham Duff's Mixtape // 27 Aug 2025

The best new music around, extracted from various genres. Including the haunting electro-folk of Cobalt Chapel, angular post punk from Dog Lips, the gentle acoustic song craft of Bridgett XO, e-punk with Crustsox, warped garage from Introspekt, trans grooves courtesy of Chloe Hotline, and plenty more besides. From out of the vaults come the Mark E. Smith fronted electronic trio Von Südenfed, the deep dub excursion of King Midas Sound, and Shriekback at their most expansive. Meanwhile, this week’s soundtrack music selections are taken from Alex G’s score for 2024’s coming of age film ‘I Saw The TV Glow’ and Stanley Myers’s soul track to the classic 1974 UK horror ‘Frightmare’. An hour and a half of brand new music plucked from multiple underground scenes. Not forgetting, this week’s soundtrack music selections, which are taken from both versions of ‘Solaris’ - namely Edward Artemiev’s score from Andrei Tarkovsky’s 1972 version and Cliff Martinez’s soundtrack for Steven Soderburgh’s 2002 iteration. The Keep Slack Album Club // 22 Aug 2025
8/15/2025
This month on The Keep Slack Album Club I'm joined by one half of Peach Melba to talk about Sophie’s 2015 album ‘Product’. Peach Melba are one of the best new bands out there. Every six weeks they release a new single, and video. And that’s it. No album. No EP. No gigs. Just awesome song after awesome song. Its mystery and mayhem in the best possible ways. Along with talk about Sophie, Pride and the Lionesses, we talk about first musical loves, getting signed, leaving bands mid-tour and how the lockdown saved them a LOT of money. Basically, there are stories for days here and we didn’t even hit the tip of the iceberg. So, what are you waiting for, press play now...
