I began my enlistment in the United States Air Force on July1, 1963 as an undergraduate navigator cadet. In May 1964 I washes out if the cadet program after failing night celestial navigation. I was given the option of re-enlisting and selecting the field of my choice or being discharged from active duty after finishing my two-year selective service obligation. I opted to finish my selective service obligation and was assigned to Vandenberg AFB as an Air Police security guard, which required minimal training.In September 1964, my squadron was rotated to D-Sector, the launch site for Minuteman Missiles. Each rotation consisted of three swings, followed by three nights then three days and three days off. I was on the night shift on site D-5, which contained an active unarmed missile that was being prepared for a later launch. On the night of the incident, the coast where D-sector is located was covered by a dense fog. A bright light on a tower, similar to the ones on sports fields illuminated the site,. The effect was that I was inside a dome, roughly 50 feet in diameter, surrounded by a thick wall of fog. Around 2 AM, shortly after the duty sergeant delivered my box lunch and left, I became aware of a presence in the fog. Moments later a human figure began to emerge. My first impression was that the duty sergeant had returned on foot to my post, but as the figure became clearer, it appeared to be an officer dressed in an Air force issue raincoat and garrison cap with a rain cover. As the figure moved closer, I became frightened and tried reaching for the 38 cal. Colt pistol carried by the guards while on duty, but my arm was paralyzed. As the figure got closer, a feeling of terror overcame me, and I backed into the guard shack, then realized I was trapped and began to panic. In a futile effort to escape, I pressed so hard against a shelf at the back of the guard shack, that I could feel an agonizing pain in my lower back, then I blacked out.When I came to, I found myself on my knees in a dark room, facing a hole about three feet in diameter. All I could see through the whole was a gray fog. I could sense a figure next to me on my right. Although I was tempted to look at it, I was getting a message, telepathically, not to, and to keep looking through the hole. Although there seemed to be no covering over the hole, such as glass or acrylic, giving the impression that it was open directly to the outside, I could not detect an exchange of air, and the room felt warm and comfortable. I did not feel afraid, but I did feel curious about what was going on. After a few moments, the fog obscuring the hole parted, and I could see the entrance to sight D-11, which was located across the road, and about a thousand yards to the south of site D-5. From an altitude of approximately 100 feet, I observed a flatbed truck carrying pipes arrive at the gate. A guard came out of his shed, approached the right side of the tuck, apparently checking their identification, then proceeded to open the gate allowing the truck to enter the sight. No one seemed aware of our presence above them. From what I could figure, site D-11 was being refurbished after a recent launch. The fog then closed the gap seen through the hole. Even now, I still don't know the reason I was shown site D-11. Paul Franklin Watson (born December 2, 1950) is a Canadian-American environmental, conservation and animal rights activist, who founded the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, an anti-poaching and direct action group focused on marine conservation activism. The tactics used by Sea Shepherd have attracted opposition, with the group accused of eco-terrorism by both the Japanese government and Greenpeace.[2][3][4] Watson is a citizen of Canada and the United States.Watson, a native of Toronto, has been an environmental activist since his teens. He joined a Sierra Club protest against nuclear testing in 1969 and crewed on board the Greenpeace Too in November 1971, to oppose nuclear testing at Amchitka Island in the Aleutians. In 1972, he was a co-founder of Greenpeace. Because Watson argued for a strategy of direct action that conflicted with the Greenpeace interpretation of nonviolence, he was ousted from the board in 1977. Greenpeace has since stated that Watson was an influential early member, but not one of the founders of Greenpeace.[5] Watson states that Greenpeace has revised their history but Jerry Rothwells documentary How to Change the World firmly established Watson as the 8th founding member of Greenpeace, with the lifetime membership number of 007 with Robert Hunter being 000. The same year, he formed the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. The group was the subject of a reality show named Whale Wars.Watson promotes aggressive non-violent intervention to defend marine life and marine eco-systems. He also promotes Biocentrism.Watson's activities have led to legal action from authorities in countries including the United States,[6] Canada, Norway, Costa Rica and Japan. He was detained in Germany on an extradition request by Costa Rica in May 2012. An Interpol red notice was issued on September 14, 2012, at the request of Japan and Costa Rica.[7] Watson has never been convicted of a criminal felony despite numerous arrests during his career.After staying at sea for 15 months following his escape from Germany, where he was released on bail, he returned to Los Angeles in late October 2013, going through customs and "was not arrested".[8] He appeared before a US appeals court on November 6, 2013, stating that neither he nor the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society violated a 2012 order requiring them to leave whaling vessels alone.[9] Although the United States is a signatory member of Interpol, Watson has not been detained for extradition to Japan or Costa Rica. Gary was born in 1960 in Scunthorpe in Lincolnshire. He served in the Royal Air Force Police (1983-1989) before spending an almost 24 year career in the British Transport Police (1989-2013). Gary was a Home Office trained Detective Constable for 19 years working on all manner of enquiries including murder, manslaughter and rape. He was an advanced police interviewer of witnesses and suspects and involved in the London Bombings terrorist enquiry as a specialist interviewer of first responding police officers. In January 2002 and whilst still a serving police officer he launched an unofficial national database for police officers reporting UFO sightings in the UK. The show's producers had declined to hire Koenig for budgetary reasons and the actor wasn't even aware that he would not be included in the cast until a fan informed him at a Star Trek convention. Although Roddenberry would hire Koenig as a writer and purchased his script for an episode of the show titled "The Infinite Vulcan", Koenig later confessed that he was upset at being left out of the cast of the animated series.[12] "The Infinite Vulcan" makes him the first cast member to write a Star Trek story for television.
