Hello and welcome to my Podcast show. I, Jason Barreto am professionally known as DJ Backspin. I am a multi-genre DJ based in the Surrey, UK, born and bred in Panjim, Goa. As a teenager I have always been involved in music. I also studied at Kala Academy (music school) in Goa and gained knowledge in various musical instruments. Learning to play an instrument is one of the coolest things you will ever do. Having a musical background definitely gives you the boost in confidence and understanding different genres and styles of music which puts you in a great position to be an experienced DJ.This is my passion and profession and I take pride in my work. having an outgoing personality and being confident in front of a crowd, knowledge of sound and lighting equipment are all imperative to being a successful DJ.
