That's the case here, as he offers up a typically well-crafted and ear pleasing collection of cuts from talented Liverpudlian Andy Ash. 'When The Sunlight Comes' is classic Ash, with layers of ear-pleasing melodic motifs, sun-bright electronics and bubbly acid lines wrapping round a huggable, wide-eyed house groove. 'Sunrise Acid' lives up to its name, with Ash delivering yearning, dew-soaked dancefloor brilliance that Flabaire later re-casts as a dreamy chunk of acid-flecked electro excellence. Elsewhere, 'Deep Edge' is a Hammond-laden mid-tempo shuffler and '3 Feet East' is the EP's most propulsive and peak-time ready workout.

Known for his playful and finely detailed productions, Hofbauer has previously appeared on the South London imprint’s MOODS Vol IX: Lights Out and SHOUTS compilations, while building a reputation within left-field club music through releases on labels including Wisdom Teeth, Aus Music, and Optimo Music, as well as his own Third Place imprint. His work has been championed by DJs such as Ben UFO, Moxie, Bradley Zero, and Optimo, and also featured in Rhythm Section boss Bradley Zero’s BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix in 2020. Opening track ‘M3 7LW’ sees Hofbauer lean into a tougher club sound, pairing weighty basslines with shuffling garage-leaning rhythms and crisp, futuristic sound design. ‘Stair Car’ follows with a slower, bubbling groove built around arpeggiated synths and loose 909 breaks that gradually build pressure on the dancefloor, before the title track ‘Flurries’ shifts again, combining handclaps and tabla-style percussion with rolling sub-bass kicks in a tension-heavy arrangement that unfolds patiently before releasing its energy. On his first vinyl EP, two original productions channel an early 2000s melodic minimalism with a touch for evocative composition paired with memorable grooves. A remix of each completes the record. The title track “Still Love” opens the EP with a series of contemplative notes. As the bass stirs, the track expands, adding energy alongside the breakbeat. The synth unfurls in a melodic crescendo before pads add emotive accents. Kurilo steps into the lab to reconstruct “Still Love” into an afterhours potion. Delusions Of Grandeur is proud to welcome back emerging producer, multi-instrumentalist, and vocalist Declan McDermott for his standout new EP, ‘Why Don’t You Believe Me?’. Blending analogue hardware and live musicianship with deep, groove-driven production, the release showcases a confident and colourful voice in contemporary underground house. Hailing from Sydney and now based in Berlin, Declan McDermott has quietly evolved into one of the most intriguing new names in left-of-centre house music. A lifelong instrumentalist and vintage gear authority he shifted from producer/ musician-for-hire, to step into his own spotlight after falling in love with the hypnotic pull of late-night deep house and dub-influenced dance records. His studio work draws on analogue synths, vintage drum machines, field recordings, and his own understated vocal delivery, forming a sound that’s warm, textural, and effortlessly soulful. With his debut release turning heads among selectors who value emotion as much as groove, this EP marks his development as one to watch. ‘Why Don’t You Believe Me?’ is a slow-mo deep-house meditation wrapped in warmth and weight. Declan and his featured vocalists lay down their spoken and vocodered vocals across minimal, stripped-back house drums, weaving through DX7 and OBX-a melodies with subtle dubby infections. It’s intimate but floor-friendly - an introspective nocturnal groove that sways rather than shouts. Next up is a remix from revered French luminary I:Cube who lifts the BPM and launches the track straight onto the club floor. Named after Yara-Kimba, the Indigenous name for Lindeman Island in the Ngaro Nation / Whitsundays region of Australia, given by the Ngaro people, the traditional custodians of the land meaning ‘place of the snapper fish’. Echoes of Ron Trent’s spacious, spiritual deep house permeate the arrangement, with gentle percussion, tropical tones, and a calm-breathing groove. As Declan says “This track is a tribute to Yara-Kimba, inspired by childhood memories, the island’s natural soundscape, and my vision of a distinctly Australian / Oceanic house sound.”

'Element EP' is the second release on the label, a four track EP by Uksimo. The record continues the rhythmic direction introduced on the first release, centered around groove and subtle changes that keep the tracks evolving. The EP opens with Element, built around a hypnotic groove where a melodic synth line slowly unfolds. In the break the track opens up briefly before settling back into the rhythm. Next is Shifted, driven by sharper drums and a tight rhythmic structure. The break builds tension before the groove returns with more weight.
