Colleen's mom, Peggie was on the show to talk about the event and the Colleen E. Ritzer Memorial Scholarship. To date, the scholarship has granted over $675,000 to aspiring teachers.

Sue and Kendra talked with Candace Perreault, Co-Founder of Rock the Spectrum Foundation. Since launching in 2016 alongside Katie Billingsley and Keri McGloin, the foundation has raised over half a million dollars to support families with children on the spectrum—funding things like assistive devices, specialized swim lessons and inclusive sports programs. They recently launched their first-ever Spectrum of Opportunity Scholarship: a $10,000 scholarship for 2026 and 2027 to support multiple recipients who are pursuing and advancing careers in the special needs field.
