I will then be taking a oral trip through the works of various giants of classic Prog and ending with something new from the new giants of Prog. Back in 1996 I was rifling through CD's in a bargain bin in my local record shop called Sleeves in Kirkcaldy, Fife, Scotland. Whilst sifting through the flotsam I came across two interesting titles, The Replicants, a excellent compilation of covers by a band made up from members of Tool and Failure and a double CD by a band called Cardiacs, titled Sing to God 1 and 2. So as each CD cost the princely sum of £1, I thought, sorted and handed over my hard earned cash. When I eventually played each album I realised what an absolute bargain I had purchased but one album in particular struck a massive chord that would resonate with me for the rest of my life and that's Sing to God 1 and 2. It has lead me to become what is known in Cardiac circles as a Pondie and has also opened me to other wonderful bands that have been influenced by and ex members of Cardiacs. So tonights show will be dedicated to the Pondies out there and will feature some of the bands that I have found since being part of the Pond.
