"Powerline Official" Nathan Boutwell, Northline Utilities
7/30/2025
Vice President of EHS & Training at Northline Utilities and head of Powerline Training Consultants, Nathan Boutwell is a self-described safety nerd with a systems mindset and a soft spot for solving tough problems in the field. He helps crews and companies make sense of complex safety challenges across construction, utilities, manufacturing and emergency services. He holds a Master’s in Engineering (Advanced Safety Engineering & Management) from UAB and brings 28 years of boots-on and brains-on experience.
Nathan’s style is practical, people-centered, and occasionally peppered with diagrams on napkins. Whether he’s building a training strategy, revamping a safety system, or nerding out over job briefings and learning teams, he’s always aiming for one thing: making safety smarter, not scarier.
