School holiday fun with the Assyrian Aid Society -Australia is back as part of the organisation’s activities. June Jacob, Community Relations Manager at AASA, spoke to SBS Assyrian about the importance of offering these programs to keep children and their parents engaged and entertained. Australia has joined Canada, Portugal and the United Kingdom in formally recognising a Palestinian state at the U-N. The declaration was made by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Foreign Minister Penny Wong outside the United Nations headquarters in New York City, with the government saying it comes as part of a push for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
