William's father thought William was expendable, as he could have more children. William became a co-regent of England with another ancestor of mine, Hubert de Burgh who was accused of killing another ancestor of mine, King John's half-brother, William Longsword, the Earl of Salisbury, uncle to my other ancestor, Henry the third.
