Yeah! I made no mistake with that title. We’re two African girls, who moved to Europe and well, we have a lot to say about dating there, and how we’re received by different ethnicities, nationalities and races. If you’ve always wanted to know what this experience was like for us and generally how we think in regards to dating and casual relationship, TAP IN!

How does our trauma affect how we date today? How does our parent’s relationships affect how we see love today? Are we repeating the same toxic patterns without awareness that cause pain to us and our partners or are we ready to heal and go to therapy to change the dating standards? Today, we’re joined by Tiffany Kodhek to talk about our experiences with dating and the truth to why we are still single, what we’re looking for in partners and the steps we need to take to find the people for us and for us to be better partners.

I’d say anyone who has left home for a prolonged period of time has come back and realised that they don’t quite fit in. They’ve realised that the way they now function and think is not how people at home think and it’s quite a shock to the system. Yes ! We’re speaking about REVERSE CULTURE shock. Today, we’re joined by Msutfu, who just came back to Eswatini a few months ago from Taiwan and we have a deep conversation about coming back home and that discomfort of feeling like you don’t know anything and know too much and don’t know exactly how to act, how to feel, who to talk to and if you should even talk. From September till December 2023 moved from Ireland to South Africa, then from December till January i've been in Eswatini. i think i am in a more stable place now so you should be getting more consistent episodes. Adjusting to a new city is not easy, especially one outside your country. From food to friendships, music and art, fashion and cultural differences, it can be hard to adjust. Having to understand yourself from a different lens to what you’re used to can really throw you off. Darlene, having spent majority of her young adult years abroad has had to learn to appreciate herself in a country where there aren’t a lot of foreigners which is expressed in her African centred art, fashion and hairstyles and has allowed her to be more introspective into why certain behaviours are prevalent in Portugal. We touch on the hyper-sexualisation of the black woman, the education system and missed information, how her last relationship has affected her view on sexuality as well as how she’s seen people perceive her confidence in her body online.
