Wanting to fully relax and go incognito, they made a pact: no collars, no black suits, nothing that screams "clergy." Anyway, I’m looking the menu over and the woman in the car behind me, a sweet Jaguar is losing her SHIT that I’m taking this long. Honking, yelling out her window that my fat-ass should be eating salad. She’s too important to wait this long.. blah blah blah. So I order, pull forward to the first window to pay. Soccer mom order’s her food and revs up right behind me. The young kid comes to take my money at window one and I tell them, look…let me pay for the car behind me as well. I make it obvious as I lean out the window, point at her, point at me and make the “money” sign with my fingers. The kid said…”sir…she’s really mean!” I told them…every so often, do something unexpected to make people smile during a bad day. She’s looking like she feels really bad now. Leans out and says, “I APOLOGIZE”. And all that. So, I paid, asked for the receipts and went to the next window. I told the kid there I paid for both orders, so give them to me. They did and I drive off with my food and hers. Making her go through the line again if she wants to eat. Needless to say,…I’m now known at that particular drive through, and my order is ALWAYS correct! It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice!!!!! My fat-ass should eat salad, but damn your chicken sandwich was the BEST I ever had!
