The Easter story is as disorienting as our lives sometimes. It begins with throngs of people anticipating the coronation of a king only to get a crucified criminal. From hopeful to despair in the course of days. It’s the same with our lives. Events that we didn’t anticipate can easily undermine our faith in God and lead to questions and doubt. But you aren’t alone. They did for Jesus' initial followers on Easter weekend as well. As we’ll discover, the message of Easter is that the coronation of a king came through a crucifixion that produced a resurrection. And with it the potential for our hope and faith to be restored

Personal ministry grows our faith because it positions us to experience God’s power in our weakness.

God uses community, and proximity matters. When we see God’s faithfulness in someone else’s life, it’s so much easier to trust him with ours. We have to make room for community. John 1:46; Hebrews 10:23–25

Pre-decide to engage in a daily devotion, percentage giving, and corporate worship. At the personal level, this is what it looks like to seek first the kingdom of God. These things challenge us individually and personally. That’s where intimacy with our heavenly Father is found. Matthew 6:1–6, 31–33; 18:20; Luke 5:15–16; Mark 1:35–37

One day the storms will come. One day we’ll walk through the valley of the shadow of death. You’ve seen men and women face all that with extraordinary faith in God. In our latest episode, the first of our new 'Make Room' series, we dove deep into the essence of faith and trust in God, drawing inspiration from the profound interactions of Jesus in the New Testament. It's a topic that resonates with many of us. Throughout the episode, I shared personal stories of incredible individuals who've shown remarkable faith in the face of life's toughest challenges. From a friend courageously battling stage four cancer to my own parents' steadfast trust in God through various trials, these anecdotes are a testament to the unshakable confidence we can have in our Creator. We explored the idea that this kind of faith isn't just for the select few—it's accessible to all of us. And it's not about knowledge or obedience alone; it's about an active, bold, and confident trust in Jesus. I delved into two striking New Testament stories where Jesus himself was amazed by such faith, and I invited listeners to reflect on the depth and significance of their own beliefs. But let's be clear—faith isn't a guarantee of a problem-free life. Instead, it's about trusting in Jesus himself, not just the outcomes we desire. It's about shifting our focus from what we want to who we trust. In this episode, we also tackled some tough questions about God's nature and Jesus' radical teachings on love, forgiveness, and service. Trust, I emphasized, is the currency of any healthy relationship, and our spiritual maturity is measured by our capacity to trust God wholeheartedly, even when the going gets tough. Today, we dove into the final part of our series, "Reassembly: A Beginner's Guide to Repairing Broken Relationships." In this episode, we explored the challenging journey of repairing broken relationships, emphasizing the importance of humility and learning how to navigate conflicts. I shared insights on how repairing relationships is not intuitive and often requires intentional effort and practice. We discussed the four key decisions to make when repairing broken relationships: choosing to get back to, not get back at; owning your slice of the blame; making the first move regardless of who moved away first; and keeping the door open with the welcome mat out. These decisions are crucial in fostering reconciliation and preventing regrets in relationships. I also highlighted the significance of maintaining open communication and extending grace in relationships, drawing parallels between repairing earthly relationships and being reconciled to God. I shared personal anecdotes and practical advice to guide listeners through the process of repairing broken relationships and emphasized the transformative power of forgiveness and reconciliation. As we wrapped up the episode, I extended an invitation to listeners to consider their relationship with God and the importance of being reconciled to Him through faith and trust. I encouraged listeners to reflect on the impact of broken relationships on their faith journey and the potential for healing and restoration through reconciliation. I hope this episode has inspired you to take steps towards healing and restoration in your relationships. Remember, it's never too late to repair what's broken and walk away with no regrets.

Addressing and owning my part of the blame depends on me. This means reconciliation always begins in the mirror. It begins by praying, “If there’s something I need to own in this, I want to own it.” That may be the beginning of freedom for you because you can’t do anything about them. It begins with us doing what we hope and pray the other person is willing to do.

Jesus could have forgiven at arm’s length, but not reconciled. Reassembling requires moving in the direction of the unreconciled. If we choose to follow Jesus, we’ll do the same. We will move and remove every obstacle possible. The goal isn’t reconciliation; the goal is no regrets. What's stopping you?

Open hands are a reminder of who it all comes from. Open-handed living safeguards us from obsessing over what’s there rather than who placed it there. “A person can receive only what is given them from heaven” (John 3:27). Jesus invites you into a life of joy, contentment, and happiness.

The virus of insecurity presents in many, many ways, making identifying and treating the virus difficult. Most of us attempt to treat the symptoms, but unless we root out the real cause, we’ll never fully heal. In the Psalms, King David reminds us that we have divine security, and he should know because he, too, suffered from the virus.

Most of us have been taught to monitor our behavior but not our heart. But bringing guilt, anger, greed, and jealousy into the light weakens their power over our soul. It's why we must to learn how to monitor and guard our heart.

Have you ever felt like there's a gap between how people see you and who you truly are? It's a common struggle, and it can leave us feeling disconnected and even unhappy with ourselves. But surrendering to and following Jesus can can make your life better because it closes this gap, leading to inner peace and a self you're genuinely happy to live with.

The story of Christmas is a story made up of disbelievers and doubters. The good news is that if doubters and disbelievers brought us the story of Christmas, there is room for all of us.

The story of Mary can easily be curated but ultimately it's a story of uncertainty, embarrassment, and tragedy. Yet, God's favor rested on her and it rests on us despite what our circumstances seem to communicate.
