Episode 74: The Gospel According to Isaiah

4/3/2026
In a day where it is hard to distinguish fact from fiction, the Gospel shines even brighter in the Hebrew book of Isaiah. Trace the Good News of the Messiah, written 700 years before He came. "Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities; upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with His wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned - every one - to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all." Isaiah 53: 4-6 (ESV) Check out our blog at meetmeinisaiah.com Thank you to Project of Love for access to the beautiful music. You can learn more about them at projectoflove.com. Episode 73: Meet Sandi York: "Uncovering His Deep Love"

1/27/2026
Meet Sandi York, a bloodline Jewish believer in Jesus as her Messiah! Sandi's story has lots of twists and turns which remind us of God's relentless pursuit of us! "Therefore the LORD waits to be gracious to you, and therefore He exalts Himself to show mercy to you. For the LORD is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him. For a people shall dwell in Zion, in Jerusalem; you shall weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. As soon as He hears it, He answers you. And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide Himself anymore, but your eyes shall see your Teacher." Isaiah 30:18-20 There was a special moment when Sandi cried out for mercy and God rushed in to help her - just like these verses in Isaiah 30 describe. Sandi, who discovered the deep love of Jesus, now has the privilege of sharing Him with others through the Hebrew book of Song of Solomon! Episode 72: Meet Cecilia McGaw: "Finding Identity in What God Says About Me"

9/17/2025
Meet Cecilia McGaw, author of Fighting for Identity: The True Story of How an Undocumented Young Girl Found Genuine Belonging. Cecilia shares with us how God uprooted lies from her childhood and replaced them with His truth which changed everything. Her book says it best on page 10: "It is only through the power of God and His Word that I have learned to battle against the lies I believed. It's because of God's grace that I am able to revisit the deep waters of my childhood memories....I've come to learn that the inadequacies I felt for most of my life have nothing to do with my worth and everything to do with not having a full understanding of who I was created to be and the goodness of my Creator." Cecilia met Jesus in Isaiah 55:8 - 9: "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts." (KJV) A special thank you to Lauren Burns with the Redeemed Podcast who connected me with Cecilia. You can listen to Cecilia's episode here. Episode 64: Road to Emmaus Series: "Check Your Source" - Isaiah 5

3/15/2024
In Isaiah 5 we see that God's anger was not satisfied, and then in Isaiah 54 we see that He swore He would never be angry with His people again. The vineyard pictured in Isaiah 5 was producing terrible fruit, despite the fact that the Gardener took such special care of it. Today, we take a look at hints about the Messiah from Isaiah, who would come and bear good fruit and lead the people in righteousness. Jesus could have had Isaiah 5 in mind when He tells His disciples that He is the "True Vine" in John 15! Lots of Scripture in this episode, so grab your Bibles & a journal! Episode 63: Connie Sanders, Co-founder of The Way Home: Recovering a Thriving Faith after Spiritual Abuse

3/4/2024
We talk a lot on this podcast about how Isaiah (and the rest of the Old Testament) points us to Jesus. Maybe you see the evidence, but still have a hard time entering into a relationship with Jesus, not because you don't believe with your head, but because your heart has been hurt. Maybe the very ones who were supposed to point you to Him, actually became a stumbling block to receiving His love. Episode 61: Road to Emmaus Series: "Walk in Light of This" - Isaiah 2

2/1/2024
Welcome to the 5th episode in our Road to Emmaus series! In today’s episode we will get a glimpse of hope - the New Jerusalem - in the midst of the prophecy of coming judgment. The disciples were confused at Jesus' death because they thought He was the One who would "redeem Israel (Luke 24:20-21)." They didn't realize that their greatest enemy was sin -and Jesus came to take care of that first. There would be a part one and part two and Jesus' second coming will usher in the New Jerusalem! 1/25/2024
Welcome to the 4th episode in our Road to Emmaus series! In today’s episode we will see that God actually turned His hand against His people, calling them His "enemies." His heart, though, was always to restore and Jesus brought this to light with His parable of "The Prodigal Son." What Jesus did for us on the cross, brought us into right relationship with God, so we will never have to be His enemies again if we will just receive it. With the Old Covenant, breaking the laws brought on a curse, but Jesus stood in our place and reversed the curse. Welcome to the New Covenant! Episode 59: Road to Emmaus Series: "Key to My Heart" - Isaiah 1:10-20

1/19/2024
Welcome to the 3rd episode in our "Road to Emmaus" series! Today we will see that God's people had divided hearts and yet were still going through all the motions of worship. God tells them very plainly through the prophet Isaiah, that He does not want that kind of worship but instead wants their hearts. We struggle with the same issue today, though it may look a lot different. Even if we are not bowing down to pagan idols, our hearts are often bowing down to something or someone other than God. The Gospel ("Good News") tells us that when we turn to Jesus, He gives us a brand new heart by giving us His Spirit! Episode 58: Road to Emmaus Series: "Ignorance is Not Bliss" - Isaiah 1:1-9

1/11/2024
Welcome to the 2nd episode in our "Road to Emmaus" series where we are asking Jesus to open Isaiah to us and show us Himself as He opened the Scriptures to the disciples on the road to Emmaus in Luke 24. Although Isaiah can be a difficult book to understand at times, the message is quite simple: trust God! Turning away from God puts us in complete darkness. He is our Creator and He sees all and knows best.
