God is not deaf to the cries of his people, which means He is not deaf to the cry of evil. The God of the Bible is not disconnected to our pain and suffering, but is actively at work bringing His purposes for the World and using suffering for good. The prosperity of the United States has made American citizens arrogant, and we’ve forgotten what made our country successful and special — the blessing of God as a result of being in right relationship with Him.
