What’s Blocking My Blessings? (Pt.3) (315) - September 13 2025

This week we are speaking about self worth. By not knowing your self worth you can miss out on your blessings. Jesus found us worthy enough to die for. When a person does not know their self worth, they can be abused and devalued. Thankfully God made a way for those in Christ.
This program covers the following Scriptures from the Amplified Classic version (AMPC): Isaiah 62:2-4, 2 Chronicles 7:14-16, Romans 5:8, Isaiah 49:15, Genesis 1:27, Psalms 103:2-22, John 1:12, Romans 12:2, Isaiah 61:3, John 10:10.

1 John chapter 5, verse 21 (AMPC) says "Little children, keep yourselves from idols (false gods)—[from anything and everything that would occupy the place in your heart due to God, from any sort of substitute for Him that would take first place in your life]. Amen (so let it be)."
If we are wondering what is keeping us from blessings, know that we need to love what God loves and remove what replaces Him in our lives. IDOLS, things you're addicted to, and cannot stop worshipping, are what is keeping you from moving forward in Christ.
This program covers the following Scriptures from the Amplified Classic version (AMPC): 1 Corinthians 10:14, 1 John 5:21, Jonah 2:8-9, Psalms: 16:4-5, Galatians 2:19-20, Exodus 20:2-4, John 4:23-24, Ephesians 4:11-12, Colossians 3:1-10, Hebrews:1:1-2.

This week we are looking at what could be blocking your blessings in your life. When we buy a house or car, we find out what the instructions are for owning what we have been given. With blessings from God, do we even know what the blessing is? What can we be blessed with from God? What are God's Blessings? What is a Curse? Sometimes a delay in receiving or experiencing God's blessings are from not knowing the fine print of what you are entitled to.
What are the instructions? Are you following them? Are you helping blessings or curses come about in your life? Thinking we know what God's blessings are, is not the same as knowing you are walking in God's blessings.
This program covers the following Scriptures from the Amplified Classic version (AMPC): Romans 5:8, James 1:17-18, John 3:16, John 10:9-10, Joshua 24:15-16,

This week we dive into finding the path of truth. When you know the truth through the instructions given, you get results. In order to do that, we must know what lies do. A lie can keep a person stuck in a place, situation, relationship and much more. Why? Because that person cannot find the truth. Everything is based on something false and untrue. A lie can keep the person coming back because nothing makes sense. The truth breaks the chains of confusion because it is based on reality and facts. In fact, a lie holds a space until the truth replaces it. For those who are believers, you will know the truth and the truth shall set you free.

Following God's instructions can be rewarding, if that is what you are following. We must however first look at our motive and heart posture. If what you are asking God is different from what is truly in your heart, it can get confusing. Why? Because the motive of the heart can leave you going up and down. Are you following what God wants, or what you want? Can you trust your own heart?

In the world today there are so many sources of information and instructions. As believers in Christ, we need to ask if these instructions are from the Lord. We also need to use wisdom and understanding to determine how to carry out God's instructions. We must apply the Word of God, which itself is full of Wisdom, to navigate through these times.

Not only does the son or daughter not have to worry about bearing the sins or a generational curse from their fathers and ancestors, but if you turn around and live right, you will not even have to bear your own sin!
The Lord remembers no more the transgressions of the wicked man that turns from his wicked ways and keeps the Lord's statutes, and does that which is lawful and right. Ezekiel 18:22 shows the Lord stating this person shall live.
For those who believe that the Lord takes pleasure in the death of the wicked, they are proved wrong in Ezekiel 18:23. "Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked? says the Lord, and not rather that he should turn from his evil way and return [to his God] and live?"

As we progress through this series, we see the progression of this topic in Scripture itself. From recent episodes we have seen that the Lord did not visit the children of the third and fourth generation of fathers that committed sin as long as those children loved the Lord and kept His commandments. The false teachings in the church about generational curses often do not teach this important clarifying truth!
In this episode, we see the progression of how the Lord decides to handle sin in the Old Testament. We see from studying Ezekiel chapter 18 in today's program the Lord putting a stop to an old proverb being spoken. That proverb illustrating that the children were having to pay for the sins and iniquities of their fathers.
We also read today in Ezekiel chapter 18 that all souls are the Lord's, and it is in fact the soul that commits the sin is the one that dies, not a child or a father of the one that sins. The Lord speaks to Ezekiel and gives examples of a just son not paying for the sins of his unjust father. Likewise, a just father not paying for the sins of his son.
This program covers the following Scriptures from the Amplified Classic version (AMPC): Exodus 34:5-7, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 2:4-8, Exodus 34:8-10, Numbers 14:1-24, Deuteronomy 5:7-10, Ezekiel 18:1-20.

The Truth About Generational Curses (Pt.7) (303) – June 21 2025

In 1 Timothy 1:3-4, the Apostle Paul instructs Timothy to "...admonish and charge certain individuals not to teach any different doctrine, 4 Nor to give importance to or occupy themselves with legends (fables, myths) and endless genealogies, which foster and promote useless speculations and questionings." In Titus we see we are to "avoid stupid and foolish controversies and genealogies and dissensions and wrangling about the Law, for they are unprofitable and futile."
This is further proof that the Christian should never attempt to search their ancestry line in attempt to find the root cause of their problem? Doing so is an act of blindness to the truth, and further pointless entrapment by the devil. Instead the believer should already understand that their old self died and was buried with Christ, and themselves now a new creation, a new species which never existed before, has been made alive in Christ. No generational curses exist in the newly created believer.
Stay abiding in Christ (John 15); do not bring back your old self from the dead. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2) so you now think like Jesus and your new Heavenly Father, instead of like Satan, your former father (John 8:44).
We also learn in Exodus that even in the Old Testament, the Lord NEVER visited the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who LOVED Him and kept His commandments.
This program covers the following Scriptures from the Amplified Classic version (AMPC): 1 Timothy 1:1-4, Titus 3:8-9, John 8:31-36, Exodus 20:3-6.

"How can I curse those God has not cursed? Or how can I [violently] denounce those the Lord has not denounced?", so says Balaam to Balak as recorded in Numbers 23:8 (AMPC). God has given the believer every spiritual blessing in Heavenly places. You cannot be cursed and blessed at the same time. Therefore the believer in Christ cannot have a generational curse, even if he or she had one before receiving Jesus as Lord. The believer in Christ IS set free from all generational curses and can never be attacked or connected to one in the future.
We also discuss the power of our tongues that are able to bring borth blessing and cursing according to James 3:10.

The Truth About Generational Curses (Pt.5) (301) – June 7 2025

Proverbs 26 verse 2 shows us that an unjustified curse will not affect its target. The verse gives us the imagery of birds flying by to illustrate that an undeserved curse does not settle on its intended victim. God's justice ensures that curses without merit do not harm the innocent, emphasizing the importance of living righteously and avoiding actions that might invite curses. This concept provides comfort to those facing unjust accusations or curses, reminding them that such curses are ineffective if they remain blameless.
If the born again believer in Christ understands and believes in the variety of scripture that shows God’s divine protection for those that seek Him, then nothing shall by any means hurt that person. (see Luke 10:19). Where the believer runs into trouble is when he or she believes that generational curses can still connect to them and affect them. It is like anything in the Bible. It only comes true for the person reading, when that person finds out the truth and then decides to believe in it, taking every thought captive in obedience to Christ, and rejecting any false teachings, including on this topic of generational curses.
Any problem for the believer is not a generational curse, but their own actions. God has provided a way of escape from sin through trusting and leaning on His Son Jesus, being cleansed of sin and being set free FROM it after the believer confesses his or her sins. The believer simply needs to – believe – the scriptures that reveal the truth that they are set free by the finished works of Christ, repent (turn from) their sinful ways and actions and walk with Jesus with a heart of purity to the best of their ability.
We also consider that the life of the believer is not necessarily a life guaranteed free of committing sin. It is extremely unlikely for a truly born again believer to desire habitual sin, since the heart of the Christian is going through a continual process of sanctification. However that does not mean sin does not occur, albeit hopefully with a sorrowful and repentant heart. How quickly the believer repents is the difference between one with a heart after Jesus, and one who is not trying to keep themselves unstained by the world. For the one with their heart focused on and seeking the Lord, that abiding with Jesus and the fellowship in the secret place ensures the continual divine protection from generational curses, and other evils from the powers of darkness and the enemies therein. (see Psalm 91:1-2 AMPC).

The Truth About Generational Curses (Pt.4) (300) – May 31 2025

The myth that it is possible to search for your ancestors sin in order to break the curse is a lie. Most people do not want to declare their sins to God, much less to their family members. So what makes us believe that we would know our ancestor’s sin in order to break the generational curse?
In any case it does not matter. The generational curse cannot “jump the tracks” to the believer in Christ, since, ‘ the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!’ (2 Corinthians 5:17)
This program covers the following Scriptures from the Amplified Classic version (AMPC): 2 Corinthians 5:17, 1 Thessalonians 5:17-24; Luke 10:19, Revelations 12:11, Romans 8:1-2, 1 John 1:8, Romans 8:9, Galatians 5:16, 1 Corinthians 10:13, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Romans 12:2, Psalm 119:11, Philippians 4:8, Timothy 2:2, Matthew 5:29-30, Genesis 39:12, Hebrews 10:24-25, James 5:16, Matthew 6:13, 1 John 1:9, Hebrews 12:1-2, Galatians 5:22-23, Philippians 2:3-4, 1 John 2:1-2, Ephesians 4:29, 2 Corinthians 12:9, Philippians 1:6, Romans 8:1, Romans 7:15-25, Romans 8:37, 2 Peter 1:5-8, 1 John 3:2.

The peril of “giving attention to deluding and seducing spirits and doctrines that demons teach” (1 Timothy 4:1) through someone you thought knew the truth of the Word of God. Instead they did not renew their mind and are teaching from their carnal understanding – the place where devils can teach us their own doctrines.
One area where this is unfortunately prevalent is those that teach others the lie that a Christian, the New Creature in Christ, can be subjected to the effects of a generational curse.
This week we talk amongst other things about the importance of doing your own research in the Word of God; asking the Holy Spirit to guide you into the Truth and validate what you are hearing from ministers. Failing to do so risks you inadvertently believing the lie is actually the truth and remaining in bondage to sin, addictions etc or whatever your captivity looks like. When, in fact, Galatians 5:1 says that Christ has made the believer free, and for that person not to return to a yoke of slavery.

Today marks the beginning of a new series on the truth about Generational Curses. We will be studying the Word of God in order to show that it is not possible for a born again believe, a Christian, to have a generational curse. The Lord came to set the captives free. If you are born again and believe you are still under some form of a curse, you captive in a lie born of doctrines of devils which has permeated the teachings of those, who, may mean well in their heart, but themselves are deceived, convinced and persuaded by false teachings that make sense, but in fact are false, and further lead the flock astray.
