Victory Church: Paul Daugherty

This weekend was full of celebrating and honoring the mothers within our church, ending each service with a prophetic blessing over all the women. Pulling lessons from Esther, “The Woman Who Saved a Nation,” Pastor Paul encouraged all men and women that they are called by God for such a time as this. Because of Esther’s obedience and prayers, she found favor with the king to be positioned as the savior for her nation. Just like Esther, you have been placed where you are by God to bring heaven onto earth.

In the last episode of Season 7, John and Arvin discuss the difference between working "ON" something and "IN" something, the importance of prioritizing your soul over your Instagram, and how exhaustion and maturity can often look like the same thing when it comes to leading yourself or others.

Within every story in the Bible, God used real people to further His Kingdom, despite their flaws and shortcomings. The Lord looks for people with obedient hearts to carry out His plans and receive His promises. No matter what circumstances come against you, the Lord’s grace is powerful enough to sustain you and use it for His glory.

Pastor Paul continued his series teaching from the Book of James on how followers live with an everyday faith. The Lord desires to work mightily in and through your life, but He requires your surrender to His greater plans. Once God’s presence and power become real to you, The Only Way Forward is by stepping out in faith where He calls you.

Together, they dive into events in church history that helped create the modern church environment and what each individual can do to take ownership of their faith instead of relying on the church to grow them spiritually.

Looking at “The Man in the Mirror” is a metaphor for believers to evaluate their individual heart and habits. The life transformation you encounter testifies of God’s divine grace. With the Holy Spirit inside of us, we are called to spread His love in action and in words to those around us. Don’t allow the enemy to distract you from cleaning out the old and making room for what God wants to do. You have a purpose on the other side of obeying God’s Word that will glorify the Kingdom of God!

The Book of James gives practical wisdom on how followers of Christ can produce long-suffering through endurance. Without tests, our spiritual development remains stagnant and weak. Although we will all face difficulties, we must hold tightly to the promises of God, persevering through trials to gain joy, patience, maturity, character, and faith. Whether you are entering or exiting a trial, the Lord holds a plan to strengthen you for the glory of His Kingdom. The reward for persevering is often an opportunity to share your testimony with someone walking through a hard time. There is purpose in your pain!
