Calvary by the Sea is a Jesus-centered community pursuing holy opportunities: - doing justice through feeding O'ahu, - uplifting our maturing membership, - prioritizing young people, - seeking racial unity, - including our LGBTQIA+ siblings, - and welcoming ecumenical friends. We welcome ALL people and celebrate God’s diversity of humanity in the world. ABOUT US Calvary by the Sea is a group of people called by God to a life of service, sacrifice and worship. We are located on the Eastside of O'ahu, in the community of Aina Haina, in the city of Honolulu, Hawaii. We seek to embody God's diversity of humanity in age, race, ethnicity, gender, ability, language, family makeup, color, birthplace and tax bracket. Seeking to be little Christs to our 'ohana. We are a congregation with a Lutheran theological imagination that practices the sacraments of baptism and communion as Jesus did. We are a Reconciling in Christ congregation that fosters inclusion of our LGBTQ siblings in Christ. Calvary by the Sea Lutheran Church is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, ELCA and in mission partnership with the Pacifica Synod.

Reconciling in Christ Sunday

1/30/2023
ReconcilingWorks is delighted to celebrate with you this Reconciling in Christ (RIC) Sunday through Created Whole, the 2023 worship service! Reconciling in Christ (RIC) Sunday is an annual worship celebration created to share in the commitment our organization and partnering faith communities have in the ongoing work of welcome, inclusion, celebration, and advocacy for LGBTQIA+ people in the life of the church. While historically this day is celebrated on the final Sunday in January, many RIC partners will celebrate on their date of affirmation, or other days meaningful to their communities rooted in this commitment to radical hospitality. We hope you enjoy Created Whole, as we join our 995+ partners across the United States and Canada through this celebratory service.
