Date: Sunday, 16th November 2025 Time: 7:00 p.m. (Doors open 6:30 p.m.) Venue: Carryduff Free Presbyterian Church, Killynure Road Speaker: Mrs Margaret Cameron Born in 1959 into a devout Roman Catholic family in the Glenshane Pass, Mrs Cameron was reared in the traditions of Rome—rosary at the fireside, weekly confession, First Communion, and the League of Mary. Yet from the age of 16½, while training as a nurse at Muckamore Abbey Hospital, the Lord pursued her with relentless love. Through gospel tracts, faithful witnesses like Sharon Wiley, Mary Orange, and Elizabeth Atchison, and even a joiner from Ballymena, God placed “stumbling blocks” on her path to hell. On the 25th March 1977, at a quarter to two in the morning, she knelt by her bed and cried, “I need to be saved—NOW!” That night she trusted the Lord Jesus Christ alone, who “offered one sacrifice for sins for ever” (Hebrews 10:12, KJV). For 38 years she prayed for her parents. In her mother’s final days, the Lord opened the door—no family at the bedside—and Mrs Cameron’s dying mother confessed, “I’ve done it, Margaret—I’ve asked the Lord to forgive my sins and make me ready for heaven.” Six months later, her father too heard the gospel at his bedside. “There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5, KJV). Come and hear how the Good Shepherd sought and saved a lost sheep from a tricolour-flagged road in the Glenshane Pass, and how “by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8, KJV). In the Gospel of John, chapter 6, Jesus performs the miracle of feeding the five thousand and then reveals Himself as the true sustenance for the soul. The message explores Christ’s majestic declaration as the Bread of Life, the miraculous demonstration of His power, the merciful discovery of His heavenly origin, and the mighty doctrine of appropriation by faith. May these truths draw readers to feast upon the living Bread who alone satisfies eternal hunger.

In 1 Thessalonians 3:9–13, the Apostle Paul prays fervently for the young church he was forced to leave behind in Thessalonica. Longing to return and strengthen their faith, he asks God to cause their love to “increase and abound” toward one another and all people. Yet love’s ultimate purpose is revealed in verse 13: that the Lord would “stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness” before God at Christ’s return. This heartfelt prayer links love and holiness inseparably. True love, poured into the heart by the Holy Spirit, produces a life set apart for God—a hatred of sin and a passion for righteousness. Holiness is not outward ritual or sinless perfection, but God’s inner work, beginning in the heart, grounded in Christ’s cross, and perfected at His coming. Have you a heart for holiness? This vital question lies at the core of Paul’s prayer and the Christian life.

Every year on the 31st of October, countless Christians across the world pause to remember one of the most momentous events in human history — the beginning of the Protestant Reformation. This anniversary is far more than a historical commemoration. It marks the rediscovery of the true Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ — a truth long obscured by man-made traditions, yet preserved by the Word of God. The Reformation was not a rebellion against the Church; it was a return to the message that has been true from the beginning — that the just shall live by faith. It was God’s gracious act of reawakening His people to the authority of Scripture and the sufficiency of Christ’s finished work on the cross.
