One of my passions when it comes to being a Christian using the Enneagram is noticing where our unconscious stories can start to feel like truth, when they’re not. This can show up on a personal level, as well as on a social/cultural/historical level. The church is not exempt from these expectations we place on people in our community. And when human expectations turn into ideological, theological, or cultural necessities, problems abound Listen in to my conversation with Amy Wicks of Wholehearted Enneagram for the ways we can feel “put in a box” in our church communities, and some possible solutions for how to create a personality diverse space, where we appreciate all healthy attributes of those around us, even the ones that are out of our personal or community comfort zone.
