Ep. #447: What a Bishop Should Be, 1Tim. 3:2-3

4/27/2026
Send us Fan Mail In this episode, we learn that a bishop must be sober, self‑controlled, modest, and consistently respectable in his conduct, tone, and appearance. He must avoid alcohol, violence, and greed. Instead, he should showcase patience, gentleness, and a Christlike spirit. He should also show hospitality, be kind, and also be skillful at teaching others. He must refute false doctrine while modeling a righteous life. True ministers will serve people sacrificially, not for money or status. They will do this while maintaining a burden for souls. The Godly minister will have a disciplined and well-rounded character. Ep. #446: Ministry Requirements, 1Tim. 3:1-2

4/20/2026
Send us Fan Mail In this episode, we dig into what Paul taught concerning the office of a bishop, and we discuss whether it applies to other forms of ministry… we believe it does. He also that desiring the office of a bishop is a good thing to long for. Ministry is a demanding job, but it is an extremely honorable work. The ministry affects families, churches, outsiders, and the Kingdom of God, therefore it requires strict qualifications. A bishop must be blameless, faithful to one wife, disciplined, hospitable, and able to teach others. True leaders must be spiritually called, morally sound, vigilant, and willing to labor sacrificially for God’s people. We invite you to come study God’s Word with us today!

We feel confident that you will be blessed by this Q&A, so come on, and study God’s Word with us today!

Ep #444: Suffer Not a Woman to Teach, 1Tim. 2:10-15

4/13/2026
Send us Fan Mail In this episode, we make the argument that Paul’s instructions concerning women are still relevant today. All women should display godliness through their good works, have modest conduct, all the while submitting to the authority of the male. It appears this is especially so even in worship. These commands by Paul stem from the order of creation. It started with Eve being made after Adam, and with her being the first one deceived. Paul strongly emphasizes order, not inferiority of women to men. He concluded that women would be “saved in childbearing” which fulfills the design of God while the woman continues in faith, love, holiness, and obedience. We invite you all to come study God’s Word with us today!

Ep. #443: Modest Apparel, 1Tim. 2:9

4/6/2026
Send us Fan Mail In this episode, we study the topic of modest apparel found within the text of 1Timothy 2:9. We believe modest apparel reflects a woman’s inner character, and expresses it outwardly through restraint, dignity, and godly behavior. We also believe that true modesty will cause a woman to avoid extravagant styles, jewelry, and clothing that blurs gender distinctions or provokes lust. True beauty is inward, and it is marked by a meek, quiet spirit, reverence, and sobriety. When this is all in order, it will shape our outward dress in a way that honors God. We invite you to come study God’s Word with us today!

Ep. #442: Tithing vs. Purposed Giving

4/3/2026
Send us Fan Mail In this episode, we answer an email that was sent to us asking for help in discerning which is the best option: Tithing or Purposed Giving. We go through the email and provide biblical answers for every question, and we believe we can refute one view successfully by scripture. Purposed giving is said to come from the overflow of the heart, while the tithe is called outdated and done away with. The tithe was a standard set by God, while there is no set standard amount to give in purposed giving… which one is more biblical? Join us today to hear what our conclusions are!

Ep. #441: One God, One Mediator, 1Tim. 2:4-8

3/30/2026
Send us Fan Mail In this episode, we discuss this passage and how the Lord would have all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Paul argues that there is only one God and one Mediator between God and man, Jesus Christ. We also talk about Jesus giving Himself as a ransom for all, how Paul was ordained as a preacher, apostle, and a teacher. We then wade into some controversial waters as we study v. 8 and get ready for v. 9. The controversy hinges upon men and women, so why don’t you come study God’s Word today to see what we’re talking about?

Ep. #440: Holding Faith vs Making Shipwreck, 1Tim 1:18-2:3

3/23/2026
Send us Fan Mail In this episode, we look at multiple things such as: Paul encouraging Timothy to wage a good warfare, hold onto faith, keep a good conscience so he won’t make shipwreck. He then tells of 2 men who he had delivered over to Satan that they might learn not to blaspheme. He then went on to tell Timothy to supplicate, pray, intercede, and give thanks for all men including kings and all in authority. He further explains that this is good in the sight of God, and all of this still applies to us today, so why don’t you come and study God’s Word with us today?

Ep. #438: The Invisible Wise God, 1Tim. 1:11-17

3/16/2026
Send a text In this episode, we explore Paul’s declaration of ‘his’ Gospel, the enabling of Christ for Paul to minister, and then we discuss what Paul was before conversion. He tells us that the grace of the Lord was abundant towards him, and he recognized that Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of who he believed himself to have been the chief. He said that he was given mercy because of his ignorance, and that he was chosen to be a pattern to those who would believe. He praised God as being the eternal King, immortal, invisible, and the only wise God. We agree with Paul 100%, and we also would love for you to study God’s Word with us today!

Ep. #437: Who is the Law for? 1Tim. 1:6-10

3/9/2026
Send a text In today’s study, we read where Paul warns Timothy that some had deviated from the true faith, and had begun to teach false doctrines. They had turned to empty speech, fruitless talk, and vain jangling. They desired to be teachers of the Law, but they lacked true understanding, which is the basis for their false doctrines. Paul argues that the Law is good when it is used correctly, because it is meant for those who are ungodly, not those who are righteous. He also gave us a lengthy list that we went over and gave definitions to help us understand better. The bottom line is that we all need a Savior! Come study God’s Word with us today…

Ep. #436: God Hasn’t Changed His Mind

3/6/2026
Send a text In this study, we explore the question of whether God’s promises depend on human faithfulness, and we use Israel as our main example. Despite the Jewish nation failing in many ways, God’s covenants and promises remain. God chooses ordinary people for His own purposes, not basing His decision on our own merit. God calls, chooses, and sends whoever He desires, and those promises are forever. We invite everyone to come study God’s Word with us today!

Ep. #435: Teach No Other Doctrine 1Tim. 1:1-5

3/2/2026
Send a text In today’s study, we introduce a new book study in 1Timothy, and we discuss several things such as the debate concerning whether Paul is the true author or not, how Timothy was the spiritual son of Paul, and the apostolic authority of Paul. He wrote this book while in a Roman jail, to warn Timothy and the church at Ephesus of false teachers, and their false doctrines. He encourages Timothy to maintain sound doctrine, keep a pure heart, a good conscience, and sincere faith. These things are foundational to true Christian living. Why don’t you come study God’s Word with us today?

Ep. #434: Do You Have Virtue? Pro. 31

2/23/2026
Send a text In today’s episode, we read how King Lemuel’s mother taught him wise sayings and proverbs that helped him through life. She emphasized how he needed to avoid destructive behaviors such as excessive drinking and strange women. The biggest portion of the chapter deals with what a virtuous woman is. We learn that she is kind, generous, trustworthy, industrious, wise, and cares for her family. Her value is greater than that of rubies and any other form of riches. She is praised for her character and her love of the Lord. Come study God’s Word with us today!

Ep. #432: Are You Pure in Your Own Eyes? Pro. 30

2/16/2026
Send a text In this chapter, we explore humility, the limits of human understanding, and the greatness of God. Agur asks tough questions about creation, then he warns against adding words to what God says. This chapter uses very vivid comparisons which touch upon our desires, mysteries of creation, and many other things. All of these things are used to illustrate the folly of man, pride, and our corrupt nature. By living what is taught in this chapter, we will have more wisdom and reverence for our Lord. Ep. #430: Have You Been Chosen?

2/6/2026
Send us a text In today’s study, we discuss the concept of being ‘chosen’ by God. We also contrast being chosen with being rejected by God. We explore some biblical examples, but linger the longest on Saul and David. God’s choice is based on love and not merit nor performance. We also talk about Limited Atonement, Predestination, and a couple of other doctrines. Ultimately, God chooses those who are willing and obedient to His will, while desiring that everyone would choose to live righteously. We invite you to come study God’s Word with us today!

Ep. #429: Covered Sins Won’t Prosper, Pro. 28

2/2/2026
Send us a text In this powerful study, we learn that those who are wicked live in fear and paranoia, while those who are righteous are bold and confident. We are encouraged to show wisdom, justice, and integrity in all that we do. We see things such as greed, hypocrisy, and oppression condemned soundly in this chapter. True prosperity comes from honesty, generosity, and the fear of God. Those who cover their sins will not prosper, but the ones who are willing to confess their sins will find mercy. Ep. #428: Iron Sharpens Iron, Pro. 27

1/26/2026
Send us a text This chapter gives us counsel in how to have humility, good relationships, and self-awareness. It warns us against boasting about the future, praising ourselves, and it describes how wrath can be our downfall. We also learn that friends are to sharpen us just as iron sharpens iron. Solomon reminds us that we need to be faithful in our friendships, diligent in our stewardship, and recognize where true wealth and honor comes from.
