Are You a “Good Christian”? How Small Acts Led a Jewish Woman to Jesus with Cara Shine

3/18/2026
In this episode, I talk with Cara Shine about her powerful journey from growing up Jewish with painful misconceptions about Christians to encountering the love of Jesus through the quiet faithfulness of two “good Christians” at her school. During the terrifying DC sniper attacks, one hallway prayer changed everything. Cara shares how kindness, presence, and Scripture softened her heart and opened the door to faith in Jesus. This conversation is a beautiful reminder that the way we represent Christ matters deeply. If you’ve ever wondered whether your quiet faithfulness makes a difference, this episode will encourage you more than you know. Why Slowing Down Might Be the Key to Spiritual Growth

3/11/2026
In this episode, I talk with Gem Fadling, co-founder of Unhurried Living, about cultivating a deeper relationship with Jesus in the middle of a busy, distracted world. This conversation opened my heart and challenged me in the best possible way! Instead of striving to produce spiritual “fruit,” Gem explains that Jesus invites us to simply remain connected to Him, as a branch to the vine in John 15. Through practices like silence, solitude, and intentional time with God, we can learn to live from a place of presence rather than hurry. Full disclosure: after my interview with Gem, I practiced what she suggested and-WOW!!!!! I experienced God’s refreshing peace and perspective in a way I want you to experience, too. This conversation is a refreshing reminder that intimacy with Jesus doesn’t come from doing more—but from slowing down enough to simply be with Him. A Conversation with Biblical Archaeologist, Amanda Hope Haley

3/4/2026
Have you ever heard something about the Bible your whole life… only to find out it may not actually be what Scripture says? Friend, today’s episode is unlike anything we’ve ever done before. I’m joined by Amanda Hope Haley — a Harvard-trained biblical archaeologist (yes, you read that right!) — and our conversation will stretch your thinking in the very best way. Amanda shares how archaeology helps us understand Scripture more clearly, not less. We talk about David and Goliath (and why the “giant” might not be what you think), Mary Magdalene’s misunderstood reputation, and how years of human interpretation sometimes overshadow the actual text. But here’s the beautiful part: leaning into the hard questions doesn’t weaken faith — it strengthens it. This episode will challenge you, inspire you, and deepen your confidence in God’s Word. If you’ve felt weary, discouraged, or on the brink of quitting, this conversation will remind you that exhaustion lies—but God is faithful. Don’t walk away. How Did I Miss That? Finding God in the Everyday Moments with Cynthia Yanof

2/4/2026
Have you ever had one of those moments when you look back and think, "How did I miss that?" In this episode, I sit down with author and podcaster Cynthia Yanof for a conversation that is equal parts hilarious, heartfelt, and deeply spiritual. Through real-life stories — from gas pump mishaps to everyday awkward encounters — Cynthia reminds us that God is often at work in the small, ordinary moments we’re most tempted to rush past. Together, we talk about slowing down enough to notice the people right in front of us, why laughter can be holy, the power of community, and how reconciliation and friendship shape our faith more than we realize. Why Identity Matters More Than You Think

1/28/2026
So much of how we live—how we feel, how we respond, and even how we make decisions—is shaped by how we see ourselves. And if we're honest, most of us don’t stop very often to ask where that identity is actually coming from. Is it coming from how busy I feel, how overwhelmed I am, the roles I carry, or whether I feel like I’m doing enough… or failing again? In this episode, I slow us down and invite you to take a closer look at the labels we’ve been living from and compare them to what God actually says is true about us. We’ll open Scripture and talk honestly about what it means to live from our identity in Christ—not performance, approval, or circumstances. This is a freeing reminder that our identity isn’t earned, it’s received—and who God says we are is far more secure than any season we’re walking through. A New Year Covered in Prayer: Letting Scripture Shape Your Next Season

12/31/2025
As we step into a new year, I wanted to do something sacred and intentional—pray Scripture over you. In this special episode, we walk through powerful biblical prayers from Ephesians, Colossians, Thessalonians, and Numbers, explaining why these prayers matter and how they shape a faith-filled life. These aren’t rushed or performative prayers; they are grounding, relational, and deeply personal. Prayer isn’t about getting God to cooperate with our plans—it’s about deepening our relationship with Him. This episode offers peace, clarity, endurance, and blessing as you begin a new season, anchored not in resolutions, but in God’s Word and presence. May God bless you and keep you. May He direct your every step. And May God fill you with His peace as you step into the new year, my friend. A Christmas Blessing for You When You May Need It Most

12/24/2025
Christmas can be beautiful, and it can be a full-blown circus. In this Christmas Eve episode, we examine how to hold space for both the wonder of Jesus’ birth and the peace of His presence. The first Christmas was not unlike life now–unpolished, inconvenient, with people longing for something good. On Christmas, God gave us someone good-Jesus. The angel proclaimed, "Don't be afraid. I bring good news of great joy for all people" (Luke 2:10-11). If your life feels messy, or ordinary, or empty, you’re not disqualified; you’re exactly who Jesus came for. Emmanuel means God with us. Jesus came for us. For you. And just in case Christmas feels like a lot–whether good, hard, or a combination of both—I end this episode with a Christmas blessing to steady your heart with joy, peace, and hope. May you experience Jesus this Christmas, my friend. Xo, Donna And remember, I'd love to connect more on Instagram, where you'll find me at @donnaajones. Is It God, Me, or the Enemy? How to Discern God’s Voice with Rachel Groll

12/17/2025
Ever wondered if that voice in your head is God, your own thoughts, or spiritual interference? In this episode, I sit down with Rachel Groll—author, podcaster, and two-time seminary graduate to unpack a solid, biblical approach to discerning God's voice. Rachel explains why Scripture must be your primary filter and how consistent obedience actually sharpens your spiritual discernment over time. She also points to powerful female prophets like Miriam, Deborah, and Huldah as biblical evidence that hearing from God isn't mystical nonsense—it's deeply scriptural. We dive into the difference between reading and truly meditating on God's Word, plus offer practical wisdom for navigating prophetic words with discernment and peace. The Power of Second Chances: A Journey to Sobriety and Purpose with Cheri Garcia

12/10/2025
What happens when a “good, normal, suburban” life collides with addiction, shame, and a God who refuses to let go?
