I got the amazing opportunity to have a conversation with rapper, producer and teaching artist Yuself Shelton also known as YS1 DA FIRST. He opened up about the struggle of growing up without his father and how that has affected how he relates to God and others. This week on the podcast I feel the burden to chat quickly about mental health. So many people are outwardly appearing to be okay, they are brimming with energy and enthusiasm but inwardly they are crumbling. Many feel so much pain that they believe the only way out of the pain is death and I can say that I have been in that same exact place. I want to bridge the gap between mental health and spiritual health and encourage everyone to seek safe spaces where they can unveil their true feelings and receive the love and counsel that they need.
