Have you ever been hoping for something to happen? 02:41 All your hope, all your faith, trust and confidence that it's going to come through, strong. You see improvement, you're making strides. And a lot of times when, for me personally, when your hope... 03:25 get sucked up out of you by life and just unreasonable circumstances, it can really weigh a toll on your inner man and your outer man. And a lot of times people who experience hope deferred 03:56 if not aware of what's happening. 04:02 can go into depression. 04:06 regression, regrets, even suicidal thoughts or 04:18 unhealthy tendencies. So 04:23 I want to talk about being transparent. 04:29 And you know the three categories, transparent, translucent, and opaque. When your hope, when you feel like your hope is gone. 04:51 One thing for certain. 04:56 that will never ever ever change is life. Life is gonna keep lifeing. What do you mean by that? Meaning that despite how you feel, despite of what's going on around you, what's going on that includes you. 05:25 Life is gonna keep on moving. People are gonna keep on living. 05:33 time will keep on ticking even when it feels like your world has stopped. Whether that news that made your world stop is it's finding out you have an uncurable disease or finding out that 06:00 someone who you connected to. 06:07 for all your life or most of your life has seemingly transitioned. 06:16 from life to life beyond Earth? 06:24 Maybe it's a divorce. Maybe it's 06:32 your children not 06:36 acting the way in which you raise them. Whatever it may be that calls the shift in your heart. 06:50 and the hope to be smothered or smoldered, when it happens, it's the worst gut-wretched feeling that an individual can experience. 07:17 In my rehab. 07:21 I was experiencing great strides and growth and all of a sudden something just popped out that slowed me down and really just every step I took. 07:46 for progression seemed like it was countered with another step backwards. Two steps backwards. One step forward, two steps backwards. 08:04 and 08:07 The lost or the... Episode one, well, no, not episode one, but transparency part one, two, three. I talked about briefly situations that 01:37 happened to me, how I responded, and the process of my response and my healing. The reason why I took time off and I'm back. Baby, I'm back. 01:59 But more importantly, 02:05 It's... 02:08 I believe it's by design. 02:14 I have been chosen to endure certain hardships. 02:21 I think it's by design. I believe so. 02:27 One is because... 02:31 You know, God allowed. 02:35 too. 02:39 God. 02:42 would place the burden in my heart to share my experience and how I am overcoming. 02:54 and a healing, but also to expose. 03:01 The hurt, the pain. 03:06 the situation shed light or be transparent in this situation or in my situation. 03:20 Transparency verse translucent, being translucent, and verse opaque. So you have three categories to be transparent. 03:36 to allow all light, or most of the light in. 03:42 Translution allows some light. 03:49 opaque Allows no light 03:56 So you have these three categories in which I. 04:03 feel moved to speak on my situations and the family dynamic that I have experienced and why I, you know, and why I as a dad operate in being transparent with my children. And as they grow older. 04:32 more transparency will be warranted. Because after I'm gone. 04:42 They will be left to do what God has placed in their path. And it's important for me, the legacy I leave behind, that they are prepared as much as possible with information, with love, with support, with care, with insight and instruction. Now, 05:12 Him following that is a whole different subject because we have choices. We have choices, but for the most part, I'ma do all I can. It's in my heart to do all I can to raise my children the way God has ordained me and created me to be. 05:42 So let's talk about generational curses and the root identifying a crisis. Too often we experience, and let me speak about myself, that experience the... 06:03 the consequence of the lack of parenting from the previous generation. A lot of things I had to learn on the go.
