After Judas's remorseful and tragic suicide for the role he played in betraying the Messiah, Jesus is dragged before Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor. In a moment of political expedience, Pilate offers them Barabbas, a notorious criminal, likely in hopes that he could spare Jesus. Jesus offers His final, apocalyptic teaching before His passion: the Parable of the Sheep and the Goats. The Son of Man sits on His glorious throne and separates all nations. The exact day and hour of the end is unknown to all but the Father.
