A Lenten journey (Vol 13)

3/28/2022
Hi welcome to volume 13 (can't believe I've come this far) In todays volume I briefly explore only one aspect of Lent and its connection with our Christian journey. (I haven't spoken about things like the representation to the forty days of fasting which Christ undertook in the desert) I've only touched on some aspects of it. As always my volumes are an introduction to faith components and not a definitive source by any means. It remains in your hands to like what you hear and maybe discover more by visiting your local Church authority. - Michael

Vol 12 Just in time for Christmas

12/21/2021
The lead up to Christmas is a time of preparation for celebrating the birth of Christ. A time to open your own hearts to Christ and allow him to be 'reborn within your heart'. (Not my own quote) I heard this quote at Church the other day during a homily by our parish priest, it resonated with me and I wanted to share it with you. I hope you enjoy this quick random volume just in the nick of time before Christmas. - Michael

Vol 11 part 5 mini series The sacrament of the anointing of the sick

3/30/2021
In this volume I have tried to summarise some of the facts around the anointing of the sick, how this sacrament is administered and who it is intended for. This sacrament is vital in the ongoing work of the Church towards the sick and frail. This sacrament is a direct flow of the forgiving and loving nature Christ had for all people especially those that were sick and infirm. The anointing of the sick helps the person become closer to Christ in his own suffering and is a means of receiving much needed help in the form of grace. - Michael

Vol 9 Rosary special..

7/20/2020
I have added this rosary episode as a volume within my podcast series because I believe it is very much connected to our Catholic faith and forms who we are as catholic. The Holy rosary is a very unique prayer yet simple in formation. It is as I like to call it, 'A journey with Christ' every time you devoutly pray the rosary you effectively travel along Christs' journey comforted and led by the Virgin Mary along the way. If you truly want to live a holier life or wish to be given the grace to avoid a vice like lifestyle or just want direction - don't look towards a yoga session, turn towards the Holy rosary give it a go! Vol 8 Its time to visit your saintly side

7/20/2020
In Volume 8 I take a journey through the realm of saints and their connection with each one of us.. 'To walk in the footsteps of the saints' in my opinion is a true sign of predestination, they are, after all, another gift given to us by God and a great example to us of how to live a virtuous life. There is a reflection at the end, I urge you to give it a go. PS if you haven't watched "all or nothing" - Sr Claire Crockett please do! She is an inspiration of our time, God willing and for the glory of God she may become a saint herself?? I truly hope you get something positive out of this volume and I thank you in advance for taking the time to listen to it. God bless - Michael

Volume 6, are you chasing virtue or vice?

6/21/2020
Here I explore in summary, the moral virtues we are all born with and the Theological virtues of our faith. How virtues are elevated and purified by the Holy sacraments and how we can grow in virtue and avoid vice. Virtue leads us towards God. Vice, lead us away from God. Due to our fallen nature we are attracted to vice led lifestyle and can find it hard to remain virtuous in our daily lives. My challenge for you is to identify a vice led attraction in your life and overcome it with prayer and the Theological virtues of Faith, hope and Charity.

Vol 5 What's your cross?

6/3/2020
In volume 5, I explore in brief, the connection between our sufferings and the cross, how this impacts us on a daily basis and how we can carry our own crosses with humility, love patience and perseverance - how the church sustains our grace and perseverance with the gifts of the sacraments and how we can make the smallest of changes in our own daily lives to help live out the will of God as opposed to our own agendas and pleasures which believe it or not are a direct result of our forever growing distance from God and his love. Don't forget we have been led by his example to love one another as he loved us, which means putting into practice that love towards each other - bearing one another's pains and sufferings and helping to alleviate one another's pains.
