Thinking About God
James W. Skeen
Jesus said, "You must be born again." This book seeks to show the reader that 'new life' is new in quality and capacity not just new in time and that a sixth need, blessedness, should be added to William Glasser's Choice Theory so that a more complete view of human functioning can be understood. The human soul needs a 'felt' relationship with God, through Jesus Christ, in order to function as God designed it. Blessedness is a real human need. Thomas Traherne, a 17th-century pastor and philosopher, helps us to understand this need and how to bring it to a reality in our lives.
The title of this book is "Thinking About God: The Blessedness of Faithful Contemplation." It is my hope and prayer that this book will stimulate the reader to think about and contemplate the glorious riches that are in Christ Jesus our Lord that our hearts and minds will be centered on Him; that we might live and move from the blessedness within.
