For you, who has an ear for multicultural storytelling.
For you, poet that wants to explore new ways of sharing your genius with the world,
For you, mixed person who is searching for personal understanding, acceptance, and celebration,
For you, non mixed person and mixed person who is curious about a Chinese and Puerto Rican woman’s mixed experience,
For you, Nuyorican or boricua of the diaspora told you aren’t really Puerto Rican because you weren’t born on la isla.
For you, Boricua de la isla que celebras cada Boricua whether we speak Spanish, Spanglish, English or other.
For you, Chinese American girl, excited to see there’s someone like you out there, doing her thing, sharing her voice,
For you, the only one. The only Black kid raised in a white neighborhood. The only Asian kid raised in the Latino neighborhood. The only mixed kid in the family. And the list goes on and on for us, the only ones.
