Five Clubs

Tyrrell Hatton and Ryan Lavner joined Gary Williams for today’s show. Williams was LIVE from Liberty National Golf Club, host site of this year’s Curry Cup as part of the Underrated Golf Tour. Lavner talked about Rory McIlroy now being the top European golfer of all-time and dove into a number of Ryder Cup discussion points. Hatton shared his thoughts on qualifying for the Ryder Cup on points, how it was fun to be in the hunt a major this year and shared a funny travel experience. The show ended with golf dogs of the week and team picks for the BMW Wentworth and Procore Tournament.

Wayne “Radar” Riley and Sean Martin joined Gary Williams on the show today. Williams began the show on Rory McIlroy’s Irish Open win the U.S. win in the Walker Cup. “Radar” Riley discussed how big the win was for Riley, the Americans playing in Europe and should Scottie Scheffler be there and gave us a few Europeans that Americans golf fans should keep their eyes on next year. Martin talked about the Fall being a time for golf to go global, qualification for cards the following year and giving the top players time off.

Ludvig Åberg joined the show today and the two-time European Ryder Cup member talked about the difference in his second year on tour, what is impressive about Scottie Scheffler, Viktor Hovland and how well he was made to feel a part of the team in his first Ryder Cup in Rome. Johnson Wagner joined Gary Williams in studio to talk about the just-announced Golf Channel Games that will be captained by Rory McIlroy & Scottie Scheffler, and they also discussed this weekend’s Walker Cup at Cypress Point

The Wagyu Filet Show boys, Johnson Wagner and Brendon de Jonge, joined Gary Williams in studio for a show devoted to the upcoming Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black. From the teams, the captains, the captains picks, player pairings, etc. they dive into it all. They also spent time talking about the future direction of the PGA TOUR given some of the recent news and statements from the new man in charge, Brian Rolapp.

We were joined by Rob Lee of Sky Sports and Brendan Porath of The Fried Egg joined us today to talk Ryder Cup with the European side ready to make their six captain picks public. Porath discussed the luxury the Europeans have in basically bringing the same team back and that despite the uncertainty the last couple months, the Americans still have more depth and it was the right decision for Keegan Bradley to just captain the team. Rob Lee talked about the steady hand of Luke Donald, the investment of Rory McIlroy and how the start will be key to both sides.

We were joined by golf writer Gabby Herzig and sports broadcasting great Sean McDonough on today's show. Herzig talked about her story on Tommy Fleetwood and what has made him so endearing as well as her Ryder Cup expectations with the looming U.S. picks. McDonough talked about the differences in broadcasting golf, his celebrity golf event, the value of the game of golf to friendships and more. Host Gary Williams unveiled the final Club 5 standings won by Scottie Scheffler and as always on a Wednesday, the show closed with the golf dogs of the week.

It is time for the Ryder Cup conversation to go full blast and host Gary Williams talked about who he expects to make the American team this AM and the success of American rookies over the years. He was also joined by Rich Lerner to talk about the showdown at Bethpage Black in late September. Finally, Williams talked about Congaree Golf Club and their Global Golf Initiative and shared one of those stories.

Today's show was live from tour pro Mackenzie Hughes' Charity Pro-AM at The Club at Longview in Charlotte, NC. We were joined by day the host, Hughes, as well as Steve Scott, Tour-winner and Champions Tour member Robert Karlsson and Justin Kutcher. Host Gary Williams talked about the break-through win for Tommy Fleetwood and the looming Ryder Cup decisions for both the American and European side.

We had a packed show today as host Gary Williams opened with a recap of the previous night's Payne Stewart Award dinner and its recipient Paul Azinger. Harris English and Dan Hicks joined the program. English talked about winning without his A game; the upcoming Ryder Cup and a little Georgia football. Hicks talked about hosting the Payne Stewart Award dinner; Scottie Scheffler's consistency, whether Keegan Bradley will in fact be a playing captain and the madness that will fall upon Bethpage Black. Williams wrapped the show with our golf dogs of the week segment and our team picks for the TOUR Championship.

The TOUR Championship is upon us and host Gary Williams joined forces with Keith Stewart of Read The Line to preview the season-ending tournament from the wagering angle. Keith lent his expertise on the subject of golf wagering on a number of topics from skill sets to look for, how and when to bet Scottie Scheffler, live betting and more. The duo was also joined by Pat Mayo of the Pat Mayo Experience to gain his insights into how he is looking at this field of 30.

We were joined by two of the game’s writers today, Shane Ryan of Golf Digest and David Rumsey of Front Office Sports. Ryan, who has written a book on the Ryder Cup, talked about this year’s competition, the Keegan captaincy, the resumes of Collin Morikawa and Chris Gotterup and Europe bringing basically the same team forward again. Rumsey talked about the state of the big golf sponsorships, the new Versant’s jump into the property rights mix and their flexibility to partner with others and LIV’s first year as a partner with Fox Sports. Gary Williams closed with commentary on this year’s Payne Stewart Award winner, Paul Azinger.

The field is set for the TOUR Championship and we covered it throughout the show and were joined by Keith Stewart of Read The Line. Host Gary Williams talked about the incredible run for Scottie Scheffler and some of the great stories of the field of 30. Keith Stewart discussed how you bet Scottie Scheffler given his dominance and the fact that he is always the favorite. Stewart also talked about finding value in your wagering.

Today’s show was the final of three LIVE from Rusacks St. Andrews overlooking the iconic home of golf at St. Andrews. We were joined by Kevin Kisner and Brentley Romine. Romine led it off talking about the U.S. Am that enters match-play and he gave quick bios on several big names for that event and the Walker Cup. Kisner discussed the Playoffs, the value of making it to East Lake, Scottie Scheffler, Keegan Bradley and his thoughts on The Old Course at St. Andrews.

Today’s show aired LIVE from Rusacks St. Andrews overlooking the iconic home of golf with the R&A and 1st tee at St. Andrews in the backdrop. We were joined by Korn Ferry Tour member Cole Hammer and golf writer Sean Zak. Zak talked about the FedEx playoffs, some Hall of Famers winding down and about his summer long trip to Scotland and what he learned. Hammer, who has joined all year as part of his professional journey, touched on the state of his game, what he loved most about amateur golf and some University of Texas alums including Scottie Scheffler.

Host Gary Williams talked about the iconic venue and was joined by Brendan Porath of The Fried Egg. The two talked about Justin Rose, J.J. Spaun, Tommy Fleetwood and the new predicament for Keegan Bradley and where he currently sits on the playing side of the Ryder Cup list. Williams also talked about the Top 50 cut list and the stories that surrounded it.

The boys from The Wagyu Filet Show, Johnson Wagner and Brendon de Jonge joined Gary Williams in studio. They dove into a number of topics including the FedEx playoffs, the Ryder Cup and some of their stories of the year from surprises, breakthroughs and disappointments.

Writers Gabby Herzig and Claire Rogers joined the show today. Host Gary Williams started the show by discussing Cam Young and his breakthrough win at the Wyndham and all the movement in the standings as well as a look at this year’s major winners on the men’s and women’s side. Herzig and Rogers discussed Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIroy, the Ryder Cup, their most underappreciated stories of the year and their road trip through Ireland and the U.K. after The Open.

Ian Baker-Finch joined the program as he prepares for is final TV broadcast after 19 years with CBS. An Open winner and now a staple in the broadcast world, Baker-Finch discussed his transition from player to broadcaster, best advice he got, Adam Scott winning The Masters and what that meant for the Aussies, the team around him at CBS and how he loves calling up places and they welcome him to come play with open arms. Host Gary Williams closed the show with the golf dogs of the week and the team picks for the Wyndham Championship and the AIG Women's Open.
