Utah is experiencing playoff hockey at its finest. On Friday night, 20,000 avid hockey fans crowded into the Delta Center in downtown Salt Lake City to watch Utah’s very first postseason hockey game. It was a riot. They scored four goals within the first 30 minutes and went on to win 4-2. They do it again tonight, looking to go up 3-1 in the series against Las Vegas. Two BYU Football players heard their names called in the 2026 NFL draft: Jack Kelly to the Giants, and Carsen Ryan to the Browns. 6 other players signed as undrafted free agents, and 2 were invited to minicamps. The Utah Mammoth are in the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time in franchise history (granted, this is their second year), and they are facing the Vegas Golden Knights in round one. I talk about Logan Cooley and their exciting, ambitious team that I love watching. The NBA playoffs have begun, and to nobody’s surprise, the Thunder are once again the team to beat. BYU Men’s basketball is restocking and preparing for next year while the transfer portal is open. They signed Collin Chandler, Tyler Betsey, and Jake Wahlin! Rob Wright III announced he is returning — even after taking a recruiting trip to Kentucky. He chose the right shade of blue. Michigan defeated UConn 69-63 to win it all! They cut down the nets in Indiana, the birthplace of basketball. They played like a championship team all season, so it was fitting that they won. Dusty May’s squad had the grit and heart to beat UConn in March Madness — Florida is the only other team to do it in the last four years. The Masters Tournament is on at Augusta National! It is the hottest ticket in American Sports. Rory McIlroy is leading with -12 heading into Saturday. If he were to win, he would be the fourth person ever to win back-to-back at the Masters. March Madness was on the verge of becoming another fun tournament, but with no real magic. Then, Braylon Mullins happened. With Dan Hurley’s Huskies down 19, they had to dig deep. Beating Duke is a feat that only 3 have accomplished in the past year. This changed with Mullins. He got the ball off a Duke turnover, and with 2 seconds left, shot a logo 3 to give them the lead. It swished, and UConn had its one shining moment. Despite what many are saying, college sports still deliver fantastic games. Illinois, UConn, Michigan, and Arizona are the final four teams in the NCAA tournament! I preview these games and give my predictions. BYU baseball had back-to-back walk-off home runs against Oklahoma State! They also knocked off archrival Utah on the road. There was some chaos in the Big Dance this year. I talk about it all, from #12 High Point upsetting #5 Wisconsin to Florida, the reigning champs, bowing out to the Iowa Hawkeyes! The first weekend is generally the best because of high-stakes matchups, Cinderella teams emerging, and the excitement of perfect brackets. This year certainly did not disappoint. I discuss what went wrong for BYU Basketball against Texas in the first round when they fell 79-71. It was a disappointing loss, and we’ll never know this team’s true potential thanks to injuries. The NCAA Tournament is finally here! Selection Sunday kicked things off as we found out who made the tournament and who they will play. BYU will face Texas on Thursday at 5:25 MDT in Portland! West coast BYU fans will make their presence felt. They are likely set for an old rivalry against the Gonzaga Bulldogs if they beat the Longhorns. I preview which games are going to be the best and upsets to look out for. Every year, there are some fantastic upsets and Cinderella stories. The tournament last year was odd in that it featured only 4 upsets. I believe the universe will correct itself this year and return to its perfect state. The Cougars of Brigham Young University are here to play real basketball. Once they snapped their 3-game losing streak by beating Texas Tech at home on senior night, they gained energy and grit moving forward. This was BYU’s first win against Texas Tech since joining the Big 12. Rob Wright III led BYU with 29 points, and Khadim Mboup was a monster on the offensive glass. In Kansas City, BYU came to play. They beat Kansas State 105-91 and West Virginia 68-48, avenging their previous loss in Morgantown. They will face the Cougars in red on Thursday night. At this point, they have a 6-seed locked in for March Madness. A win would boost our ranking, but a loss wouldn’t hurt. BYU gave Cougars fans hope after they took down Iowa State, a projected 1-seed in the NCAA tournament, on Saturday night! AJ Dybantsa had another masterpiece to add to his phenomenal scoring in February. He is the alpha of this team moving forward and will have to play a full 40 minutes in most of their games. March Madness is under three weeks away! Get excited, because it’s almost the season for non-stop basketball. It’s the season for filling out brackets, eating food, and watching games all weekend. BYU is a projected 6-seed as of right now. Team USA took down Canada in Ice Hockey to win Olympic Gold for the first time in 46 years! BYU beat Colorado on Jimmer Day, when his jersey was retired to the rafters forever. The halftime ceremony was short and sweet, fans were given free jerseys, and Jimmer Fredette cards were passed around! Unfortunately, Richie Saunders tore his ACL in the first 45 seconds of the game. He was the heart of the squad and a true leader. Without him, the team will take a step back in their trajectory. BYU faces #4 Arizona and #6 Iowa State this week. Both games would be a Quad 1A win! In this episode, I share my insights on our trajectory moving forward. Richie’s grit and toughness set the bar for their goal: A Final Four appearance. BYU snapped a 4-game losing streak in Waco, beating Baylor 99-94. Rob Wright III dropped 30 in his return to Baylor. With the help of AJ’s 36-point game, they silenced Baylor’s home crowd. BYU chants travelled well and could be heard in Foster Pavilion. The Cougars will have a lot of momentum moving forward! In some exciting news for the Big 12 tournament, played in Kansas City, the Big 12 announced the addition of glass courts. This concept is state-of-the-art, and I give my insights into it. In San Francisco, Super Bowl LX was a snoozer as the Seahawks comfortably handled the Patriots. Elsewhere in the world, Milan is currently hosting the 2026 Winter Olympics! It’s the final week of football for a very long time, but you know what that means: Super Bowl LX! It will feature a rematch of XLIX between the Seahawks and Patriots. I give my prediction for who will win. It will take place in Santa Clara, CA — Home of the 49ers. Also, the 49ers announced on Thursday that they will play the Rams in the inaugural NFL Melbourne (Australia) Game! BYU Men’s Basketball hosts the red-hot Houston Cougars Saturday night. They are on a 3-game losing skid and are looking to pull off the upset. A win would become their first win against the Cougars in the Big 12! BYU won a big game against its rival, Utah, at home on Saturday. Two days later, they hosted #1 Arizona, looking to hand them their first loss of the season. The Cougars lost in a thriller, 86-83. They will play at Kansas in another Big 12 showdown Saturday afternoon. College Gameday is making the trip to the famous Allen Fieldhouse. The Australian Open is currently in the men’s semifinals and women’s final! Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are both one victory away from another meeting in the final. Sinner is playing to defend his back-to-back titles, while Alcaraz looks to win the Australian Open and become the youngest player to win all four Grand Slams. Indiana won the National Championship against Miami, in Miami! Fernando Mendoza beat his hometown team 27-21 and gave the Hoosiers their first-ever championship. The postseason in both college football and the NFL has delivered in a big way. Many of the games have gone down to the wire! The College Football National Championship is set between the Indiana Hoosiers and the Miami Hurricanes! It will be played in Miami, adding an interesting wrinkle to an exciting matchup. I share my takeaways from BYU’s rivalry win over the Utes, 89-84! The “Big Three” delivered once again; all scored 20+ points. The Cougars are transitioning to their demanding Big 12 schedule, but are still riding high with an impressive 15-1 record. The college football quarterfinals were initially concerning. The high-seeded teams, coming off a three-and-a-half-week break, looked rusty and outmatched (the format is all but certain to change, starting as soon as next year). Then came the Sugar Bowl. Ole Miss and Georgia played a game for the ages, with the Rebels coming out on top in a wild finish. They will face a red-hot Miami team coming off an upset of the Buckeyes. Indiana will play fellow Big 10 member Oregon in a rematch! BYU Football has retained key players and announced Kelly Poppinga as their new Defensive Coordinator. Notable players such as Isaiah Glasker, Bear Bachmeier, and Faletau Satuala are “running it back” for 2026. BYU Men’s Hoops is on a red-hot start to open Big 12 play! BYU beat Georgia Tech 25-21 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, FL. They spent the week enjoying sunshine and roller coasters, then channeled their inner Cardiac Cougs to beat the Yellow Jackets. Bear Bachmeier was the MVP thanks to his 325 passing yards and grit. Evan “Shmev” Johnson had a game-sealing interception (again!) to bring home the trophy. BYU had its first 12-win football season since 2001 after beating Georgia Tech. They did so without LJ Martin and Jack Kelly. Jay Hill, the defensive coordinator, may bolt for the Michigan job alongside Kyle Whittingham. The College Football Playoff is in full swing! Two home teams went down – Oklahoma and Texas A&M. Ironically, both are from the SEC… The rhetoric is fascinating now! BYU plays Georgia Tech Saturday in the Pop-Tarts Bowl. A win would cap off a fantastic year for the Cougars. A prominent headline is that BYU and Notre Dame have scheduled two football games! They will play a home-and-home series, beginning in Provo. BYU Men’s Basketball capped off their non-conference schedule Monday night and will begin Big 12 play after a needed rest! Three teams are aiming for two spots. The math shows that only two of the three will get a place, and one will be unhappy. The gravity of this situation is remarkable. Notre Dame got the wrong end of the deal Sunday morning as they and BYU are left out of the Playoff. Once again, ESPN got its way (as it so often does ;). Unfortunately, BYU lost its Big 12 Championship Game to Texas Tech. However, their foundation is set, and their future is bright. BYU Football will play Georgia Tech in the Pop-Tarts Bowl (Orlando, FL) after Notre Dame once again weaseled out of playing the Cougars. It’s not the first time they’ve done so, but it is a bold statement to stand up to ESPN. The controversy has never been this large in College Football as it was this weekend. BYU makes history in its third year in the Big 12 (the First time in a P4 conference) by reaching the conference championship game. The Cougars have everything to play for against the Red Raiders, as they look to avenge their beatdown in Lubbock. It is played at AT&T Stadium (also known as Jerry World), which seats 80,000. BYU travels well – They could pull off the upset. Rivalry week in College Football hardly delivered any chaos, but Conference Championship Weekend has the chance to! On October 3rd, BYU Football beat WVU to move to 5-0. They entered a 6-game stretch that looked formidable. Somehow, the Cougars went 5-1 and currently sit at 10-1! They control their own destiny and have a path to the playoffs! Their win over Cincinnati was crucial, and they delivered. This year’s team is special and deserves a spot in the CFP. Feast Week is paramount during Thanksgiving! BYU Men’s Hoops plays in Orlando on Thanksgiving, then the Football team faces UCF Saturday Morning. A win clinches their spot in the Big 12 Championship! Rivalry Week in College Football always has juicy matchups. Unbeaten Ohio State plays its rival Michigan in “The Game”. Alabama plays at Auburn in the atypical Iron Bowl.
