Gavin Stone struck out 6 en route to his 6th win allowing no runs on 4 hits. Mookie Betts hit a leadoff home run the 52nd of his career and Freedie Freeman backed it up with his 7th of the season to give the Dodgers an early 2-0 advantage as they go on to win 4-0 and take 2 of 3 from the Rockies.

Rockies lead early 1-0 on a sac fly, but the Dodgers would answer right back with 2 in the bottom of the 2nd on a 2 error little league defensive disaster for the Rockies. Jason Heyward would then then double in one more. They would add one more in the 4th on a Kike Hernandez single and then in the 5th after a Freddie Freeman triple to left field Will Smith would double him home. Yamamoto got the win going 6 scattering 7 hits while striking out 7.

Dakota Hudson who was 1-7 coming for the Rockies had the Dodgers off balance all night going 7 allowing just 1 run on 4 hits for his 2nd win. Walker Buehler was a little off and struggled with location but did strikeout 7 in his 3rd loss. He surrendered 4 runs on 6 hits while walking 4. The Dodgers had a nice rally going in the 8th loading the bases with nobody out but Mookie Betts hit into a 6-4-3 double play and then Freddie Freeman struck out to end the threat.

The Los Angeles Dodgers completed their sweep of the Mets in New York after an offensive explosion in the eighth inning broke a 3-3 tie. The Los Angeles Dodgers were lousy on both sides of the ball this weekend in Cincinnati as LA got swept by the lowly Reds to bring their losing streak to five games. After dropping the first game of the series, the Los Angeles Dodgers won all weekend to take the series with the Reds.
