030: Ronan Debelius - Life of a Liveaboard Cruise Director in Indonesia

Ronan Debelius was the cruise director of the prestigious Coralia Liveaboard in Indonesia when Todd met him last year. Ever since we started this podcast, we wanted to have Ronan on to chat to share his experiences. Ronan was born in Germany, but his mom is Indonesian. A desire to get in touch with his roots, and strong family ties to the dive industry lead him to work all over Indonesia at some of the most prestigious dive operations all over the country for the past 7 years. In today's episode, we chat about everything from what it is like to be one of the youngest cruise directors in Indonesia, to how COVID has impacted the dive operators and staff, and much more! Unlike most of us, she parlayed her passion into a marine biology degree from Southampton University and then established a non-profit in Mozambique, called “Love The Oceans” with the goal of establishing a marine protected area in the province where she resides.
