060: Taking Own(h)ership

6/16/2022
Are you taking a break OR are you making excuses?! We have a convo to decipher the difference between the two. There's a fine line between procrastination and avoidance and simply doing what you can to avoid burnout. We discuss how we've been able to call ourselves out, take own(h)ership for our actions (or inaction), and get real about how to decide whether those things you're putting off or taking a break from are actually serving you. And obvi, we're a bit silly in this one too. Whenever we switch up when we record our episodes, we tend to get a bit loopy, so enjoy, Boo Crew! Don't forget to comment on this episode's post with our secret code word, k?! K cool, cool, cool.

We often admire others for what they've accomplished or the success they've seen but what about how they got there?! What about what it felt like to be a beginner?! Being a beginner can be overwhelming and scary, and also FUN AF! Tune in as we throw it back and reflect on what being a beginner has looked like (and currently looks) for us! 058: Communication Is Key

6/2/2022
We hear it all the time, communication is the most important thing in relationships. However, we all communicate differently! This week, we communicate about our communication. We discuss our differing styles of communication, how we communicate with each other in our own relationship, as well as how we've learned a lot in order to better communicate in other relationships in our lives! Enneagram numbers are at play when it comes to this too - for good and for grace. We say grace because we can use those “default settings” (that's what we're choosing to call ‘em) as things to be aware. This allows us to act and react more effectively instead of having them serve as barriers that hold us back from cultivating healthier relationships. How has self exploration helped the way you communicate with loved ones? Have you hesitated this type of self work? LET US KNOW, BOO CREW! Communicate with us *wink wink* by sliiiiding into those DMs or emailing us at hellohellooo@igotyouboopod.com!

057: Breathwork & Beyond with Kelsey Fish

5/26/2022
This conversation gave a whole new meaning to “Just breathe!” Our breath is so important. And often, we don't give it the attention it deserves. Our breathing helps regulate our nervous system, make us feel safe and grounded, and even impacts our energy levels - just a few of the things we learned during our chat with Kelsey Fish. A Breathwork Coach and host of the Soul Share podcast, Kelsey's work is focused getting in tune with your breath, and as a result of that, your body. Our minds, hearts, and nervous systems are so grateful for Kelsey sharing her knowledge and time with us to help us learn what breathwork really is and the power it holds in the healing process. As always our DMs and email is always open to hear what you learned and thought about this week (and every week) episode! Learn as much as we did? Get more Kelsey by following her on socials! 5/12/2022
The world has been heavy recently; can we all collectively agree? This week, we unpack thoughts and feels of Kim K at the MET. Along with the ripple effect of her toxic her actions in preparation for the event, and and her responses in interviews while she was there. We take a quick left to the Roe v Wade overturn leak in the US Supreme Court. Our initial thoughts, what it means for women and marginalized communities and what we can possibly do to help! Recording this episode, we understand that we aren't political professionals , nor do we claim to fully understand or have all the answers. But we ARE two women navigating this heavy ? with you all and wanted to create a safe, respectful space for you to sit at our table and hopefully help release some of the weight you may be carrying on your shoulders. If you have never heard of duality or needed the reminder that thoughts, feelings and lived experiences CAN all coexist, we're confident this episode will resonate with you! And we appreciate you so dang much for that! This conversation is, as always, what we think is the ideal amount of silly and serious. We discuss how to reeeally know when it's time to pump the brakes or gas it - in relationships, friendships, work, all the things. It's a tough thing to navigate figuring out whether to lean in or bow out, and we discuss our own lived experiences doing that (and not so much doing that), and even learn a thing or two about how we could potentially approach current and future situations. Keep an ear out for a special surprise guest! ;) lol! (No, this time it is not Bruno, Becca's dog) We hope you listen, laugh and learn a little with this (and every) episode!

049: Forgive Yo’self First

3/31/2022
Full disclosure, the topic of forgiveness in all forms could be the premise of an entire podcast in and of itself! This week, we catch up with life and dive into what forgiving ourselves and others has looked like, what we thought it was, what it really is and how it truly is a gift to give ourselves! Forgiveness is much more than apologies and “just moving on.” AMQ breaks down the 4 Rs of forgiveness and we discuss how we've tackled these stages in our own ways. Getting to a place of forgiveness takes a certain level of work and self awareness. That ish ain't easy. So celebrate yo'self for getting there! Have you struggled with gifting yourself (or others) with forgiveness? As always, we'd love to hear from you and what resonated with you about this episode, Boo Crew!

047: Your Identity vs. Beauty Standards

3/17/2022
This is a very special episode topic because it was requested by one of our Boo Crew! Separating who you are and your true identity from what you look like and beauty standards is no easy feat, but it IS POSSIBLE! This week, we unpack what we've learned in regards to our identities as humans, completely separate from our bodies, bs beauty standards and physical appearance. It's so nice to see things changing (for what we think is the better), but those beauty standards will always bombard us. And it's up to us to decide to be defeated by them or to deflect them! This conversation, as well as so many others, was very cathartic to have. And we always hold the door (or inbox) open to any other topics you'd like to hear! In fact, we HIGHLY encourage it! Help us help YOU, Boo Crew!
