Episode 498: The West Memphis 3- Part 3

4/13/2026
The West Memphis Three case remains one of the most debated criminal cases in modern U.S. history, marked by conflicting interpretations of evidence, questions about investigative methods, and ongoing disagreement about guilt or innocence. While Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin, and Jessie Misskelley Jr. were convicted in 1994, years of scrutiny have raised concerns about the reliability of key evidence, including Misskelley’s confession and disputed forensic findings. The emergence of alternative suspects and new DNA testing further complicated the case, leading to their release in 2011 through Alford pleas while maintaining their innocence. Ultimately, the case highlights broader issues within the justice system, including the risks of wrongful conviction, the influence of public perception, and the importance of thorough, unbiased investigations. As we conclude this case in its entirety, I want to remind you of the victims who don’t get a second chance and still need justice: Stevie Branch, Michael Moore and Christopher Byers. Episode 496: The West Memphis Three- Part 2

4/9/2026
The West Memphis Three case centers on the brutal 1993 murders of three eight-year-old boys—Stevie Branch, Michael Moore, and Christopher Byers—in West Memphis, Arkansas. Police arrested three teenagers, Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin, and Jessie Misskelley Jr., who became known as the West Memphis Three. In part 2 we'll go over Jesse and Damiens trials and how the prosecution argued the killings were part of a satanic ritual, a claim influenced by the era’s “Satanic Panic.” Jesse did confess to the murders after a long interrogation, which became a key piece of evidence, though he later recanted the confession and it was heavily been debated over the years. 493: The Feeney Family Murders

3/26/2026
On February 27, 1995, Cheryl Feeney, her 6‑year‑old son Tyler, and 18‑month‑old daughter Jennifer were found murdered inside their Springfield, Missouri home. The house appeared ransacked, though investigators later questioned whether the scene had been staged. At the time of the murders, Jon Feeney, their husband and father was attending a teachers’ conference at Lake of the Ozarks. Despite his alibi, he became the prime suspect, and investigators spent over a year building a circumstantial case involving alleged financial motives, extramarital affairs, and claims of a staged crime scene. Jon was indicted in April 1996 and went to trial that September. On October 5, 1996, Jon Feeney was acquitted on all counts. The case remains officially unsolved and continues to be one of Missouri’s most debated family‑murder investigations. Click here to join our Patreon. Click here to get your own Inhuman merch. Dana Ireland was on vacation in Hawaii in December 1991 when she was struck by a car while riding her bike. After going cold, her case was eventually “solved” with three suspects being indicted, charged, and convicted. Episode 486: Dru Sjodin

3/2/2026
In 2006, an unprecedented resource was created to allow the public to identify and access data about sex offenders nationwide. The Dru Sjodin National Sex Offender Public Website, or NSOPW, was signed into law in 2006 as a result of “Dru’s Law” – legislation created after 22 year old Dru Sjodin was kidnapped and murdered by a serial rapist who had been released from prison despite being classified as a Level 3 sex offender – meaning he was likely to reoffend. Dru’s death led to this resource being created, establishing a safer world for many. See the site here: https://www.nsopw.gov/ Click here to join our Patreon. Episode 484: The Lainz Angels of Death

2/23/2026
The Lainz Angels of Death were four Austrian nurse’s aides—Waltraud Wagner, Maria Gruber, Irene Leidolf, and Stephanija Meyer—who worked at Lainz General Hospital in the 1980s. From 1983-1989 they killed at least 15 patients while pretending to care for them. Their methods later included forcing water into patients’ lungs or overdosing them on medications to make their deaths look natural. In 1991 their reign of terror came to an end and all 4 women were sent to prison. While they maintained that the murders were mercy killings, many believe these women were sick and evil. The Lainz Angels of Death case remains a chilling example of medical murder and failures in oversight. Click here to join our Patreon. Click here to get your own Inhuman merch.
