The headlines write themselves: * Trump is now publicly begging China to help reopen the Strait of Hormuz – and threatening to cancel his visit to Beijing if they don't comply * But here's the problem: the Strait is already open for ships destined for China * Iran controls the tap, and they're letting Chinese oil tankers through while squeezing America's allies * The US is so desperate that they're stripping THAAD missile defenses from South Korea and sending 5,000 Marines from Okinawa to the Gulf * Meanwhile, China's 85% energy self-sufficiency means they can wait this out indefinitely ► Join UK Column Live every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1pm UK time or watch previous live recordings here: https://bit.ly/UKColumn_Live ► [UK Column Website] Explore all our written and video content on the official UK Column website: https://www.ukcolumn.org/ ► [Support UK Column] Please donate to support our independent journalism & investigative journalism: https://support.ukcolumn.org/ ► [UK Column YouTube] Please subscribe to the UK Column News YouTube channel for more alternative news and independent news: https://bit.ly/ukcolumnofficial Follow #UKColumn on: ► X: https://x.com/ukcolumn ► Telegram: https://t.me/ukcolumn ► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/UKColumnExtracts ► Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/uk_column_news

A Mother's Fight for the Return of Her Children | UK Column Interviews

3/19/2026
A Mother's Fight for the Return of Her Children | UK Column Interviews ► Subscribe to the UK Column YouTube channel ► https://bit.ly/ukcolumnofficial Carol Whyte is a Fornethy Residential School abuse survivor. In this frank, brave, and forthright interview, Carol speaks about her Fornethy experiences and the court case of December 2025. She also tells more of her life story, including the loss of her children to social services, and their eventual return. Quiet, measured, and determined, Carol tells of her battle to survive abuse and regain control over her life. It is a life marred by memories she would rather forget. Carol also talks of her experiences with the UK justice system. Far from helping her as an abuse survivor, the state instead rewarded her by taking her children. In this poignant tale, Carol recounts what happened and how she found the courage to keep fighting for their return. This is a story of trials, tribulations, and unwanted engagement with UK Government agencies. However, it ends on a message of hope, love, and support, and how her children have successfully established themselves in life. Carol has previously been interviewed by UK Column. Europe's Suicide Pact: Why the Iran War is a Catastrophe for the EU | Silk and Steel

3/18/2026
In this urgent episode of The Silk and Steel Podcast, Carlos is joined by French entrepreneur and geopolitical analyst Arnaud Bertrand (currently based in Malaysia) to dissect the catastrophic implications of Trump's Iran war from a European perspective. While Washington expected its allies to fall in line, something unexpected happened: Germany told Trump to go F* himself**, France is flip-flopping incoherently, and Spain is being threatened with embargoes for speaking out. Here is the problem Europe doesn't want to admit: this war is an existential threat to the European economy, and they're sleepwalking into disaster. We break down: • Why Europe is more vulnerable to this war than the US (energy dependency, migration, economic fallout) • The insane contradiction: EU countries are still seizing Russian tankers while energy prices explode • How Macron tried to play both sides (pro-US and pro-China ceasefire initiative) – and failed at both • The Qatar gas disaster: Europe's replacement for Russian energy is now completely offline • Why China is actually BENEFITING from this crisis (85% energy self-sufficiency, EV exports about to boom) • The desalination time bomb: How one missile could end life as we know it in the Gulf • Why the "US is omnipotent" narrative on the left is actually pro-CIA propaganda • What this means for US allies in Asia: if Iran can do this in 3 weeks, what can China do? Plus: The AI angle no one is talking about (David Sacks vs. Trump), why Gulf money is fleeing the US economy, and the terrifying reality of water wars in the desert. Arnaud Bertrand writes prolifically on China, international politics, and Europe-China relations. From L'viv to Sumy; Delivering Front Line Aid to Ukraine

3/17/2026
Brian Gerrish's chance encounter with a neighbour called Bill, in a car park in Devon, South West England, led to a unexpected discussion about cars and driving on snow and ice. "You've got a Honda", said Bill. "Is that model any good on snow?" Brian then learned Bill was about to deliver aid to the front line in Ukraine and would be driving in bad winter conditions. On his return a few weeks later Bill met up with Brian and told the story of his experience and journey. This short and fascinating tale is very different from what you may imagine. Do Not Fight the Government’s Wars | Jerm Warfare

3/16/2026
Do Not Fight the Government’s Wars | Jerm Warfare ► Subscribe to the UK Column YouTube channel ► https://bit.ly/ukcolumnofficial Jerm and Etienne De La Boetie² explore the deep ties between organised crime, politics, and media, highlighting how these forces shape public perception and drive conflict for profit rather than security. They argue that government functions as a tool of control and exploitation, undermining individual autonomy and fostering systemic corruption. The military is shown to erode personal morality, while war's consequences deeply affect both soldiers and civilians. Democracy is viewed as inherently flawed and irredeemable, with propaganda maintaining its illusion. The discussion concludes that a society without government—one grounded in free market principles—could offer greater freedom, peace, and prosperity, provided people understand and resist existing power structures. https://artofliberty.org ► Join UK Column Live every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1pm UK time or watch previous live recordings here: https://bit.ly/UKColumn_Live ► [UK Column Website] Explore all our written and video content on the official UK Column website: https://www.ukcolumn.org/ ► [Support UK Column] Please donate to support our independent journalism & investigative journalism: https://support.ukcolumn.org/ ► [UK Column YouTube] Please subscribe to the UK Column News YouTube channel for more alternative news and independent news: https://bit.ly/ukcolumnofficial Follow #UKColumn on: ► X: https://x.com/ukcolumn ► Telegram: https://t.me/ukcolumn ► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/UKColumnExtracts ► Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/uk_column_news

Syria Podcast Episode 9: Christian Zionism, AI Targeting, and the War on Iran

3/16/2026
Mike Robinson is joined once again by Vanessa Beeley, reporting from Lebanon, for Episode 9 of the Syria Podcast. In this episode: Vanessa opens with an account of a major Israeli special forces incursion into the Beqaa Valley, involving helicopters operating out of Syrian territory and forces reportedly disguised in Lebanese army uniforms. She describes how Hezbollah's intelligence pre-empted the operation, leading to an ambush, and how MANPAD systems were used to push back Israeli fighter jets sent to cover the withdrawal. From there, Mike and Vanessa work through the broader strategic picture: Israel's use of Syrian territory under Jolani's HTS as both a launch pad for attacks on Lebanon and an escape corridor; the ongoing Israeli campaign of warnings, displacement, and destruction in southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut; and the near-impossibility of reconstruction given that Western and Gulf funding has been deliberately curtailed between rounds of destruction. The conversation moves to the ideological drivers of the conflict, particularly the role of Christian Zionist "Armageddon theology" in shaping US foreign policy, the religious extremism visible in the messaging from the Pentagon and figures like Pete Hegseth, and the distinction Vanessa draws between mainstream Sunni Islam and the Wahhabi-derived Takfiri doctrine weaponised by Western intelligence since 2011. She describes first-hand evidence from eastern Aleppo in 2016 of the systematic Saudi-funded radicalisation of children in occupied Syrian suburbs and the long-term consequences now playing out. The second half of the episode focuses on the Iran conflict directly: the strategic sophistication of Iran's opening moves: blinding Gulf state radar, closing the Strait of Hormuz, coordinating Hezbollah drone and missile waves to saturate Israeli interceptor systems across multiple defensive layers, and Vanessa's analysis of Iran's underground "missile cities" as a near-indestructible manufacturing and launch infrastructure. She discusses Iran's adoption of the Chinese Beidou satellite system as its primary navigation and targeting platform, and why this makes it considerably more capable than Western assessments acknowledge. Mike raises the controversy over AI-assisted targeting and the specific case of the Minab school strike, in which 165 girls were killed. Vanessa discusses both the plausible deniability function of blaming AI systems, and the real dangers of AI in military targeting, noting the irony that Claude AI was reportedly implicated in the flagging of the site on the basis of outdated mapping data, at the same time as Anthropic has reversed its previous position on military use of its technology. The episode closes with analysis of false flag operations targeting Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Gulf states; the military limitations of Arab Gulf forces without direct US involvement; the role of Iraqi resistance factions; and what Vanessa expects to unfold next in Lebanon and Syria. ► Join UK Column Live every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1pm UK time or watch previous live recordings here: https://bit.ly/UKColumn_Live ► [UK Column Website] Explore all our written and video content on the official UK Column website: https://www.ukcolumn.org/ ► [Support UK Column] Please donate to support our independent journalism & investigative journalism: https://support.ukcolumn.org/ ► [UK Column YouTube] Please subscribe to the UK Column News YouTube channel for more alternative news and independent news: https://bit.ly/ukcolumnofficial Follow #UKColumn on: ► X: https://x.com/ukcolumn ► Telegram: https://t.me/ukcolumn ► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/UKColumnExtracts ► Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/uk_column_news

You Can Do It — with Professor Richard Ennos | UK Column Interviews

3/12/2026
You Can Do It — with Professor Richard Ennos | UK Column Interviews Richard Ennos, a retired Professor of Evolutionary Biology at the University of Edinburgh, had an inspirational conversation with Professor Diane Rasmussen about Richard’s pro-human and anti-globalist group, Common Knowledge Edinburgh, which works locally to raise awareness and fight against the globalist agenda. Richard was rare among academics in March 2020 when he openly questioned the so-called ‘science’ behind the stated narrative for the Scottish Government’s actions at the time. He was arrested at a November 2020 lockdown protest in Edinburgh. These events contributed toward the formation of his group, Common Knowledge Edinburgh. The Executive Committee, which Richard chairs, is "driven by truth, freedom and the desire for a pro-human future". Richard believes in the power and importance of human community, and what can be accomplished when people work together. The group holds monthly talks by individuals who will be known to the UK Column audience; recent guests have included Sonia Poulton, The Bowler Hat Farmer, and former midwife Victoria Rixon. In mid-December 2025, it hosted 'Brian Gerrish’s Christmas Message', which aired on Christmas Eve via UK Column. In February 2025, it held the Scottish People’s Covid Inquiry event. Quoting Richard’s comment piece on UK Column about the event: The most profound insight that emerged from the conference is that there was no deadly and highly contagious respiratory disease present in Scotland in March 2020. The actual incidence of the illness designated as Covid did not even remotely approach the conditions of a public health emergency. There was no pandemic. Recordings of all the presentations given at the Scottish People’s Covid Inquiry can be found on the UK Column website, including Diane’s invited talk, ‘The Covid-19 Campaign — Propaganda, Lies, and Fear’. Health is an important aspect of Common Knowledge Edinburgh's work. Local Abundance is a group that works in partnership with Common Knowledge Edinburgh. It is "a community of like-minded consumers who are concerned about food security and quality. We are seeking to build a direct, mutually supportive relationship with farmers and growers and cultivate a healthier, more viable future". Local Abundance facilitates a monthly REKO Ring to connect local food producers with local consumers. In September 2025, Common Knowledge Edinburgh worked with Local Abundance to present the Health and Food Festival, which featured talks and vendor stalls by local food suppliers and alternative health practitioners. UK Column’s Charles Malet made the journey up to Edinburgh to attend the festival and give an informative invited talk about the larger governmental and globalist agenda at play that works against UK farmers. Richard was then moved to organise Common Knowledge Edinburgh’s ‘You Can Do It’ conference, which took place in February 2026. The purpose of the conference was to “hear the experiences of local people who decided they would act on their concerns, took the initiative to provide a solution, inspired others to join them, and are now achieving the results of which they dreamed”. It featured talks from those who chose to take new directions in farming, medicine, education, and politics. Diane gave an invited talk entitled ‘Alternative Media for Journalism with Integrity’. Join Richard and Diane for their inspirational, positive, and motivational conversation on what it means for each of us to do something, however small, if we don’t like the way the world is going, and how it can be done. You can do it! The UK Column team is delighted to have developed this special collaboration with Common Knowledge Edinburgh, and they hope it will continue into the future. Common Knowledge Edinburgh can be found on Substack, X, Rumble, and YouTube. The Local Abundance REKO Ring is on Facebook.

A solution is to grow food at prisons and schools | Jerm Warfare ► Subscribe to the UK Column YouTube channel ► https://bit.ly/ukcolumnofficial Jim Gale and Jerm talk about creating strong local communities by growing food and living simply. Jim shares his experience of turning a halfway house in Florida into a food forest and healing garden to help veterans. He believes education should focus on health and self-reliance, turning schools into places where children learn about growing food and living healthily. They discuss changing lawns into edible landscapes with fruit trees and animals to improve the soil and provide food. They emphasise working with local groups rather than relying on the government. They also touch on issues like censorship and the power of central banks. https://foodforestabundance.com ► Join UK Column Live every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1pm UK time or watch previous live recordings here: https://bit.ly/UKColumn_Live ► [UK Column Website] Explore all our written and video content on the official UK Column website: https://www.ukcolumn.org/ ► [Support UK Column] Please donate to support our independent journalism & investigative journalism: https://support.ukcolumn.org/ ► [UK Column YouTube] Please subscribe to the UK Column News YouTube channel for more alternative news and independent news: https://bit.ly/ukcolumnofficial Follow #UKColumn on: ► X: https://x.com/ukcolumn ► Telegram: https://t.me/ukcolumn ► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/UKColumnExtracts ► Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/uk_column_news
