Timestamps: Intro/Hello again!/What I did on my summer vacation: 0:00 - 9:53 This week on Miami Vice: Crockett and Tubbs are trying to bust a local player named Tommy, until his deal gets cuts short by a warning from an ice cream truck and they flee, leaving Vice in the lurch about Tommy's new source. They get news that their budgets are being cut by Captain Highsmith, who is making a run for County Supervisor, and naturally are pissed off. They try to get close to an NY dealer, Reginald Hawkins, but one of his goons, gets in the way, and then Crockett and Tubbs are whisked away by a group of suits. The suits are part of a shadowy network of vigilante cops who are tired of seeing criminals through the cracks and who have seen the shortcomings first hand. As the group tries to close in on the new source that Vice is after - Escalante - we see the lines get more and more blurred. When does the pursuit of justice cross into criminal behaviour itself and what happens when you're in too deep to get out? This week on Miami Vice: Crockett and Tubbs are introduced to the world of underground art dealing when a big deal goes bust and they "hot" goods Vice finds turns out to be paintings. The main piece of the group is missing and Det. Whitehead from the NYPD (Michael Chiklis) is in Miami to help locate the art by prepping Crockett and Tubbs on how to penetrate the art world and we get some retconning of Tubbs from Season One, but also some great outfits so it all works out. The Scianti family - known for other types of deals - are involved and run a gallery where Tubbs goes under as a art history professor/connoisseur/dealer with the family to get closer. Joey and Julia, the children, are carrying on the family business by making deals for Joey and running the gallery for Julia and they also butt heads over what the future holds for the main piece of art their dad stole years ago and the drama it will bring as Whitehead, Vice and the Sciantis fight over it. This week on Miami Vice: Tubbs accepts a dinner invitation hosted by a "reformed" criminal Jake Manning (John P. Ryan) turned successful author he put he away years ago and is taken hostage along with other perceived sinners in a house of horrors (artwork included). Tubbs must try and navigate the cursed cellar and free himself and the other prisoners using his wits to appeal to Manning as he has no contact with the outside world. This week on Miami Vice: Crockett gets a surprise visit from his estranged cousin, Jack, who is in a bit of a jam - as always. He swears he's going straight this time and gets himself a job selling pool accessories. Turns out a con man never changes their spots and and he conned the wrong guy. Robbing Peter to pay Paul has its consequences when he's leant counterfeit money (John Santucci is back!) and Jack is really in deep and needs Sonny's help. Sonny tries to smooth things over with the fabulously dressed kingpin who printed that counterfeit money himself - Escandero, to try and get his cousin out of trouble AGAIN! This week on Miami Vice: Real-life EGOT Rita Moreno guest stars as a congresswoman with a wayward son who's involved in the disappearance of a very British man's drugs. Her anti-drug platform has been central to her legacy and the Brit threatens to ruin her career if she doesn't play along. She is stuck between a rock and a hard place when her personal and professional lives collide and she has to protect her son. Unfortunately, Castillo is also brought into it as they attempt to blackmail him as well. Crockett has a "marathon" therapy session and we see the toll this life has taken on him and is still taking as the final season progresses. This week on Miami Vice: A wedding is quickly followed by a funeral as a kingpin Luis Pedroza is gunned down on his wedding day, leaving his arranged bride and now widow to live with his son (Miguel Ferrer RIP), sister-in-law and son-in-law. Clearly, things will be super happy and cordial! The 80s did love a new mysterious woman moving into a huge mansion occupied with feuding family members. Things gets spicier when Tubbs catches feelings. Meanwhile, Crockett goes up to visit Billy, who is acting out due to the impending visit from the Stork. Crockett tries to make up for lost time, but it doesn't seem to be enough as Billy feels unwanted by both sides. This week on Miami Vice: Gina is undercover with a big-time dealer, Enriquez, who is a big fan of white stuff whether it be cocaine or fabulous accessories. Vice is after him and their bust (at a metro station party...?) was by the book until Enriquez's lawyer gets him off thanks to Switek's typo in the warrant. The lawyer, Sam Boyle and his protegé, Lisa Madsen (Amanda Pummer) are working for Enriquez as Vice tries to get closer, and it takes a dead child to make Lisa questions her loyalty. Her world comes crashing down as Vice closes in on Enriquez and Boyle - whose world is also closing in around him as he's caught stealing from Frank Romano (Tony Sirico), while Enriquez keeps servings looks. This week on Miami Vice: Switek's bets and debts catch up to him and he's not alone. A star Hurricanes quarterback named Kevin with an overbearing stage dad (an old friend of Stan's) and shady manager, is also facing gambling debts. Both of them will get caught up as Vice busts the gambling ring run by and then subsequent hit on Chi Chi Vasquez, and both of their debts rack up getting them and those around them into hot water. Switek is not alone as Crockett and Tubbs are there to try and help him through his issues that aren't really about his girlfriend, as he claims. The FBI thinks the witness will be safer with Vice, and Vice has their hands full when he tries to sneak out to hit the clubs. Crockett and Keith, the witness, butt heads but, the generation gap narrows as they get to know each other better. This week on Miami Vice: Vice minus Crockett (with a very clearly ADR'd-in excuse of testifying elsewhere) is trying to get in with Borrasca, who is part of a splinter cell group that uses drug money to fight communism in the made up country of Puerto Rubio. As Tubbs and Switek get closer, a very shadowy and overly-tanned figure warns them to back off and he goes way back with Castillo. Reese, may or may not be sanctioned by the government and Castillo is doing his best to see what side of the law he is while Vice tries to get closer to Borrasca through his connections: a retired detective (OOF RIP), a gorgeous nightclub owner and associated goons.
