Khali is a young, naïve free spirit who lost her mother and lives alone with her father. She loves to dance and play on the beach. Her deepest desire is to travel the world and she wishes to journey to Lake Wairarapa for her birthday. Her father agrees and whilst traveling, they are separated by a landslide. Lost and alone, she is greeted by a Troll who at first appears friendly, but is deceptive in nature. From there, Khali embarks on a journey of self-discovery and self fulfillment. Along the way, she discovers the beauty and ugliness of her reality as she meets both companions and foes on her quest. Coming to grips with her own personality, Kahli learns how to dive deeper into her own psyche in an attempt to overcome internal and external demons.
