The BYU Cougars got another boost the BYU men's basketball program with their hire of Utah Utes associate head coach Chris Burgess to join Kevin Young's staff at Brigham Young University (BYU), bringing Burgess back to the BYU basketball program after two years on Craig Smith's University of Utah Runnin' Utes staff and Jake is thrilled with the hire. The BYU Cougars have and will continue to have major questions asked about their quarterback situation in the 2024 season as they deal with the fallout of the latest whiff on the recruiting front, but Jake Hatch took some time to address the concerns as best he can and lend some insight into what Kalani Sitake, Aaron Roderick and the BYU football program may do to fix things. The BYU Cougars are proud to be members of the Big 12 Conference and it appears that power players in the sport have chared a future that would ensure the BYU football program would maintain it's Power League status if their proposed "Super League" format of 80 teams is adopted and Jake Hatch says that the model is the best and most-sustainable he's seen so far. The BYU Cougars are entering the summer on the heels of a "productive spring" according to team captain Connor Pay and Pay says that the BYU football program largely accomplished what they wanted to during their month-long camp as new offensive line coach TJ Woods implemented a new run game scheme and has Pay feeling confident in their direction and philosophy.
