What do coal seams tell us about Earth’s history? Do they show signs of having formed very slowly—over millions of years—in huge swamps? In 1980, Mount St. Helens (in Washington State, USA) erupted, blasting the top and side off the mountain. Then, as volcanoes do, it began to rebuild. In 1992, samples of new volcanic rock—KNOWN to be only about 10 years old—were dated using standard radiometric dating techniques. The results were eye-opening. Dinosaurs have long been used to popularise the idea that life on Earth has been evolving for hundreds of millions of years. Almost from the cradle, people are taught about ‘the age of the dinosaurs’, which is said to have ended over 65 million years ago—LONG before humans evolved. But what if this account is all wrong? What if there is evidence that dinosaur fossils are MUCH younger than claimed—and that these fascinating creatures shared the Earth with humans?! Dinosaurs must have been Ark passengers. Most dinosaur fossils were formed by the Flood, and God told Noah to take two of every land vertebrate alive before the Flood. There were far fewer dinosaur kinds than species or genera, and the average size of a full-grown dino was about the size of a bison/buffalo. But Noah probably boarded much smaller juveniles a year before their growth spurt. How did 80 whales end up fossilized in the Chilean desert? What sort of conditions led to them: i) Swimming there in the first place, and ii) Getting RAPIDLY and DEEPLY buried so that they would fossilize? Can evolutionary history supply a satisfactory explanation for this—as well as the many other marine fossil graveyards all over the world? Or does the global Flood described in the Bible supply the best explanation for the evidence?
