Have you or someone you know lost a child? The grief journey for parents who have lost a child is uniquely difficult and can cause overwhelming feelings of guilt. Today, I am re-releasing episode 37 where I was joined by Katie Greer. During a trip to Mexico in 2016, Katie’s four-year-old daughter Marissa drowned. This horrific loss led Katie to self-medicating, isolating herself from loved ones, and intense feelings of anger. Upon discovering the Grief Recovery Method, Katie began to accept that grief is a natural and normal response to loss. The Grief Recovery Method impacted her life so deeply that Katie has since become a Certified Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist, helping her clients to be emotionally honest and vulnerable along their grief journey. There is no one way or “right way”, the only thing that matters is that you lean into what makes you feel most connected. In this episode, I am joined by the inspiring Joe McQuillin for a second time. Joe’s life was forever changed on a January morning in 2016, when he received a call that his son, Christopher, along with three of his friends, was missing and soon after his body was recovered. Losing Christopher began Joe’s journey through grief, awakening, discovery and acceptance as he began to connect to Christopher on “the other side” through mediums, research and, eventually, direct communication. Experiencing sexism and shaming during her teenage years led Poppy to fight to maintain her identity and freedom. Grieving Family Relationships with Dr. Marcy Cole

In this episode, I am excited to be joined by the wonderful Dr. Marcy Cole. Dr. Marcy Cole is a holistic psychotherapist who works with adults, couples, adolescents, children, and families. Throughout this episode, Dr. Cole shared her personal stories of grief. She describes her experience when her worst fear came true - both of her parents passing away. Within her personal life and her work, Dr. Cole’s understanding of human psychology and how we interpret grief in its many forms is eye-opening. As the old saying goes, when it rains it pours, but by taking the time to process and move through our grief, we can conquer anything. In this episode, I am excited to be joined by the courageous Pamela Robins. Pamela experienced the loss of her mother after a long battle with cancer, her own cancer diagnosis two days after her Mother's funeral, the breakdown of her marriage during her cancer recovery, vocal cord paralysis, and making the decision to walk away from her home and businesses to save her life. This intense, traumatic, and rapid succession of events led Pamela to write her book, Meditating with Animals: How to Create More Conscious Connections with the Healers and Teachers Among Us. Today, Pamela is an animal lover, advocate, entrepreneur, inspirational guide, speaker, teacher, healer, as well as a student of continuous personal growth. Pamela has been guiding her growing community since 2016 through "Transformational Healing Journeys in Nature" at her House of Two Spirits Tipi on a ranch outside of Los Angeles.
