Julian is a Professor of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning, and Fletcher Professor of Rhetoric, an endowed professorship at Tufts University. Julian considers himself a ‘critical urban planning and environmental social science scholar’ whose research explores the complex relationship between humans and the urban environment, particularly in relation to equality and justice.
