The Japanese Popstars are a Northern Irish electronic group consisting of Gary Curran and Gareth Donoghue. One of the finest duo's to come from Derry, Northern ireland. They have played across the world with productions on John Digweed's Bedrock Records & support from some of the biggest names in techno. They took a much needed break from music but they are back now, bigger better and stronger than ever. Coming back into the music scene after a 5 year break is difficult at that, but how do you do it in the middle of a world wide pandemic?

One is a superstar DJ & the other is a Bantamweight World Champion Boxer. Both living in the Entertainment Capital Of The World & adapting to life during the Coronavirus. The first time in a life time that Las Vegas has ever closed. This is an extended version of the Lockdown with two unbelievable success stories, the first podcast they have done together & it's really worth a listen. A world champion boxer who fought two of boxing's best, Prince Naseem & Erik Morales & went the full distance with both of them. Never once knocked down in his professional career. From being a champion to more recently finding himself in the depths of despair & coming right back up again. Fergie has DJ'd all over the world, since sneaking into nightclubs aged 14. To playing 250 dates a year in Vegas, to now enjoying studio life & the first downtime of his career. More recently playing to 150 thousand people at MDL BEAST. The first ever music festival to take place in Saudi Arabia. Taking me on a road trip with a parrot (a real one). Being refused entry to Turnmills at Ministry Of Sound in London a night that he was headlining. Eventually was allowed in because he was with me. We still to this day don't know who that doorman thought I was. Sure you know yourself. Gerry Armstrong is a footballing hero, as legends come, he's up there alright. I don't think there is anyone who he doesn't know and have a story to tell about. Just over 1 hour of listening to so many funny & fascinating stories over his footballing career. Gerry talks about his ''altercation'' / misunderstanding with a GAA player that resulted in him being suspended & then ditching GAA for the beautiful game. Making the big time with Spurs & Watford. Scoring that goal in the 1-0 win against Spain in the in the 1982 World Cup. Playing along side George Best & who he rates as the best player in the world today. Life after the World Cup playing for Real Mallorca who's fans hadn't forgotten that goal against Spain. As well as an insight into being on the management team when N.Ireland beat England at Windsor in 2005. Of course most importantly of all, playing for Bangor.

Kaitlyn Taylor joins me for Ep 3 of The Lockdown. Kaitlyn is the the wife of Omar Taylor, who has been described as a ''walking miracle''. Omar survived Coronovirus, heart failure, sepsis, pneumonia & a double stroke. His family were told to prepare for the first. Omar defied all the odds, and after 30 days in intensive care, he walked out of Colchester General Hospital in Essex with his family just in time to be home for his son's second birthday. Omar is now going to be studied by scientists & medical professionals in the fight against Coronvirus. Kaitlyn spoke to me & gave me a detailed insight into Omar's story. It really is heart warming. Thank you to Kaitlyn for taking the time and to the NHS for being heroes every day and every night.
