Hershall, today is a wonderful day on the virtual church cast. I allowed Bro. Brooks to start the program and he did a wonderful rendition (big word) of Deacon Dustin leading service in my absence. We moved from there to speak about the importance of keeping our word and it got plum (rural idiom to describe an extreme amount of something) convicted. After that we had some feedback during which the Songleader, Brad Cottrell, suggested that Dustin start a ministry doing Kid's Crusades. He is a very talented sound effect man.... a one man production of sorts. We also heard from Sis. Connie of the Basement Bargains who apparently has been in hiding since the recent eclipse. Hershall, what a catastrophe (big word that looks like it's pronounced 'cǎt-ǔh-strōf') this episode became. I don't even know where to start in explaining but we started talking about dentistry and it quickly was morphed (another big word) in to talking about eye whitening and peeeenched jaws. I shared a childhood teeth correcting trauma (big word) of mine. I then read an email from a valued listener that revealed the possibility of Deacon Dustin having the appearance of a man in a motorcycle gang. He talks about tattoos. I use a joke that had a very prominent pop-culture reference in it. Then we had a suggestion that we try a hybrid of a popular exotic dish.... hence the name Chick-lam-els. we then shared a clip of the Pod'N Z episode from this month. Ending up the episode with a very popular segment of the Name That Tune battle... Hersh, first of all, thanks for your assistance in trying to help us locate the Deacon. We ended up calling you first and when you couldn't find him, we called our investigative journalist, Dink Burbank. He worked on the case for a little bit, to no avail (big word for productive end). Come to find out, an event involving a Rapture had a great deal to do with his whereabouts.... you'll see. After we settled that we strapped on a tin foil hat we borrowed from Bro. Brad and went down the trail of a few conspiracies (big word for conspire in the plural sense). Gen Z Boy Brooks and Bro. Brad were labeled as being very narrow minded and I was labeled as being put in the slot of day speaker at a campmmeeting for purposes of only needing a time filler until lunch. Hershall, This year for this Holy Week we decided to do something that we've not done just yet on the podcast. That is, to revisit an earlier episode of Pod'N Me. After almost four years of recording episodes on this podcast, there are many things that happened in the past on this show that has been so meaningful. One of those moments happened three years ago on Easter week. I had a good friend on here to talk about the significance of this week to the world. This one fact is the very foundation of our faith. Hershall, I'm glad you're here, if you are. In the course of the usual turn of events we had a many topic-ed service today on the trash-cast. We ended the program with the ever popular "Name That Tune" segment, but to begin with, we had a rather bitter start. It seemed that the feedback along with the general attitude of the boys was a touch on the bitter side. We did finally manage to bring the show around but the bitterness crept (big word for past tense of creeped which is also a past tensed worded?) in on us again. Some of the big issues we discussed were: attending church on vacation, bad grandparent names, and restaurant etiquette (awesome big word). We even discovered that Deacon Dustin has an affinity (big word for something in common) with Jacob of old and it has to do with his ancestral burial grounds. That was a whole conversation that stemmed from a rare tradition of decorating at the place of the deceased.... whew, what a day! Hershall, Happy New Year! Good to be back with you (in a virtual sense). We started off the program with a rather serious conversation and it was really time. We talked about how to deal with life's interruptions. We then moved to an update about Deacon Dustin's beloved dog, Puppet. She got a gift which we opened on air. Hersh, here I come a wrotin' (big word meaning the past tense of writing cause when you read this I will have already wrote -or typed- this) to you, again. I act like you don't know a thing that went on here today and you know the majority of what went on because you were present for the fun. When I say fun, I mean fun. We heard a story in the beginning from the boys (title used for the song leader and deacon combined that has somewhat become a term of endearment which is another big word) about their struggles in being spiritual superior (bw) in every way to me, their humble pastor. After all of that superfluity (big word meaning something unnecessary), we were able to continue the post- Christmas blues. We had another wonderful installment of the Church Basement Bargains where Sis. Connie announced their upcoming watch night service.
