Remote Work: The Failure to Return

2/13/2024
Send us a Text Message. It goes without saying (but we will anyways) that the pandemic drastically changed our ways of working as well as our expectations of a job. One of the most notable changes was the shift to remote work. While many companies embraced this change and have found a new way of collaborating, others have grown tired of it and are starting to pull back on the remote flexibility many employees have come to expect. While there is no right or wrong way, there is certainly a better way to tell your employees there is a change coming than an awkward corporate leadership announcement video with seemingly joyful music playing and yet an undertone of a threat for those who won't comply. Sound oddly specific? It was how WebMD recently rolled out its change. In today's episode, Chuck and John discuss better ways to make these changes and increase retention and engagement all the while.
