It was August 5, 1992, in Vancouver, Canada when Alexandra Pesic was gunned down outside her employer's building. The authorities were able to identify and arrest the two mysterious men that were in the car when she was shot along with two of their accomplices in less than two weeks.

The murder of Melinda Pleskovic

In Strongsville, Ohio, Melinda Pleskovic, a middle school teacher, was found dead in her home in October 2017. Her husband and soon-to-be son-in-law both called 911 right away. Less than two weeks after her brutal murder, police would have a suspect in custody, and it would surprise many at how close the murderer was.

In August 2014 in London, England 14 year-old Alice Gross went missing while returning home from a walk. Tragically, a month later, her body would be discovered. Arnis Zalkalns, a Latvian builder and convicted murderer, was identified as the prime suspect.

Diane Holik's coworkers were unable to get in touch with her the next day, so they called the police to do a welfare check on her. They found her body upstairs in the guest room. They would learn through their investigation that there was a strange man going around to homes listed for sale in the area trying his hardest to get in the homes when the women were home alone. Could this be Diane's killer?

In 1973 in Italy, John Paul Getty, III, heir to the Getty fortune, was kidnapped by several members of the 'Ndrangheta gang. He was held captive for about 5 months while his kidnappers negotiated a ransom amount with his family. They wanted $17,000,000 but his grandfather, the family patriarch, would only concede to $3,000,000 after the kidnappers sliced off his grandson's ear and mailed it to a local newspaper.

The Crimes of Werner Kniesek

In 1980 in St. Polten, Austria, Werner Kniesek broke into the home of 55 year old Gertrude Altreiter and her adult children, Walter and Ingrid. Over the course of several hours, Kniesek would torture the family before ultimately strangling them to death. The next day, he would take their car, loaded with the bodies of his victims, with him while he ran his personal "errands." He would eventually confess his crimes, and his motive, to the police after his capture.

The Death of Diane Whipple

Diane Whipple was returning to her Pacific Heights apartment in San Francisco, California in 2001 when she was attacked by her neighbors' dog, a large Presa Canario. After her death, the owners, Marjorie Knoller and Robert Noel, were charged with second-degree murder and manslaughter, respectively.

In Forest Park, Georgia in April 2010, 15 year old Candice Parchment went missing. Her remains were discovered 7 months later not far from her home. It would be another year after that before her family and the community would get the answers to their questions about what happened to her. Candice named Marshae Hickman and Jermaine Robinson as her attackers in a diary entry from a few months before she went missing and that was just the break the police needed to break her murder case wide open.

He would eventually found two different communities of his own, the most well-known being in Oneida, New York which became known as the Oneida Community. They would practice free love and male continence. They would start an eugenics experiment later on in their existence. They left the Houston, Texas area and drove towards Moss Point, Mississippi to meet Gary Simmons and Timothy Milano for this particular meeting. Not long after arriving at Simmons' home, however, Jeffrey would be dead and his girlfriend would be fighting for her life.

The Murder of Phyllis Phares

The evening of June 13, 2009 was the last time anyone saw Phyllis Phares alive at her Charelston, West Virginia home. When her daughter couldn't get a hold of the 82 year old widow, she went to check on her and found a gruesome crime scene. The Mallo family, who lived directly across the street, became suspects in the ensuing murder investigation after Thomas Mallo, the 14 year old son, told police about a man he had seen on the porch of Mrs. Phares the night she was killed. It wouldn't be long before nearly every member of the 8 person household would be behind bars for one reason or another.
