Dwayne shares his insight on Asset Retirement Obligations, most notably, well plugging liabilities. There are currently anywhere from 2 million to 2.5 million wells that need to be plugged nationwide. Dwayne came up with holdbacks as a way to cover well plugging liabilities by using all net income from a well during certain time periods. Mrs. Stewart is an attorney licensed to practice in the state of Texas. She is an Adjunct Law Professor at the University of Houston Law Center and previously served on the Boards of ONE Future the Natural Gas Supply Association. Women make up around 22% of the workforce in the oil and gas industry. This week is the start of a series that will highlight the voices and experiences of women across the industry.
