We are very excited to present to you @jayeshsachdev Jayesh Sachdev is a multi-hyphenated creator. An artist, designer, creative entrepreneur, TEDx speaker, Design Educator. Jayesh is also the founder of the Multi-Award Winning label Quirk Box, and Branding Agency Quirk Box Design Studio( @thequirkbox ) . Jayesh holds the National Record for having painted India’s largest concept artwork and continues to practice as an internationally exhibited artist. His Wearable Art label Quirk Box has been awarded the Vogue India Fashion Fund Award (RU) and Grazia India Young Fashion Award while his Design Agency has won ‘India’s Best Design Award' in 2020, 2021 and 2022, 2023. As an artist, his works are experimental, whimsical and thought-provoking and larger than life. He has been regularly featured across media (Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Grazia, Elle, Verve, India Today) and his art-based fashion label has been worn by a host of A-Lister celebrities. Unfolding Origami with Ankon Mitra | Baatein LIVE

Ankon Mitra is a trained architect and a sculptor by practise. He is a TEDx speaker and a warrior for 'making connections across disciplines' with his brainchild - ‘Oritecture - Origami + Architecture’. Recipient of the All-India Gold Medal for Sculpture from the Prafulla Dahanukar Foundation in 2018 and the Lexus Design Award for Craft Design in 2020, his work has been exhibited in numerous countries. He is a member of the Indian Institute of Architects, the British Origami Society, Origami USA, and the Sculpture Network in Europe. His work was showcased at the Arte Laguna in Venice and the CODA Museum in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands in 2021. His sculptures and installations are part of public developments and private collections globally. Tarun Lak is an Indian-American Animator and Illustrator. Born in Miami, FL and brought up in Chennai, India, he attended Ringling College of Art & Design to study Computer Animation. He has since worked as a character animator on animated commercials and feature films including Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Onward, Soul and Luca. He has also recently illustrated his first picture book, The Moon from Dehradun, out in 2022. Tarun currently works at Pixar and enjoys continuing to make art in his spare time. At Fractal, he is playing the new game that is emerging at the intersection of human and machine intelligence. About the guest: Pallavi Arora @thelittlepictureproject is a documentary filmmaker, designer and teacher based in New Delhi. She graduated from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad with a specialisation in film and video in 2002. She has made films for various organisations and NGOs. She runs a brand called OHPA @ohpa.kids that makes playful and practical products for children and adults. She also currently runs The Little Picture Project(LPP)@thelittlepictureproject that exposes children and young adults to the visual arts with a special focus on filmmaking and photography. Shirley Bhatnagar @shirleybhatnagar is an almnus of NID, Ahmedabad, working primarily in Ceramics, based on historical research, she is known for her work with social and political commentary. Shirley uses her work to comment on social and political issues built upon historical study and research. She has been working with anthropomorphism in tableware and now in sculpture for over seven years and works with a gamut of facial expressions and body movements to inform the work, which infuse life into its characters.
