US forces bombed targets in and around Caracas, struck the electrical grid, killed over one hundred people, and abducted Venezuela’s sitting president, Nicolás Maduro, along with his wife and National Assembly deputy Cilia Flores. Sydney's Inner West Council (IWC) claims its "Fairer Futures" plan will help address the dire housing affordability crisis by building tens of thousands of new homes. But housing campaigners are warning that affordable homes will be demolished to make way for expensive, luxury apartments. Erina Delinicolas and Duncan Roden are renters at 50–52 Warren Road in Marrickville, the first site slated for demolition under the new plan. They joined the Green Left Show to discuss why the IWC's pro-developer plan is flawed and suggest alternatives that put people before profit.
