On the 2nd of December 2010, 24-year-old Phoebe Handsjuk was found dead on the floor of the refuse room at the bottom of her high-rise apartment building in Melbourne. It was discovered that she had fallen feet first from the 12th floor, down the waste disposal shaft to the compactor below, and it was ruled that no second party was involved in Phoebe’s death, and it was deemed a suicide. Paul bravely shares his account of what happened over the eight days he was held captive in a box underground and sexually abused by his captor, Richard Ausley. After countless lies to the police, he finally admitted to her murder but claimed it was rough, consensual sex gone wrong.
